I know that they always alisema that they are good friends, amazing Marafiki and their friendship is the most pure, greatest.... but this song .. I don't know..

I think that at that age (when he wrote "Liberian girl") he was in upendo with her.. maybe at the beginning he was secretly in upendo with her..

thanks for answering!!! wewe might be right! when he sang that song "Elizabeth, I upendo you", when the song was over he alisema "I upendo you, mom".. so.. I was just thinking that at the very beginning he might had some other feelings for her... even secretly...but I think you're right...their friendship was the most purest.. that's what they alisema so many times.
