Oscar winner Lupita Nyong\'o is questioning the Academy\'s ability to nominate a diverse group of actors.
The actress posted a message on Instagram voicing her disappointment about the "lack of inclusion" in this year\'s Oscar nominees. No people of color were
nominated for acting awards this year. Stars like Jada Pinkett Smith and Spike Lee have already spoken out against the Academy, with Pinkett Smith calling for a boycott of the awards ceremony.
"It has me thinking about unconscious prejudice and what merits prestige in our culture," Nyong\'o writes. She added that the Oscars should be a "diverse reflection of the best of what our art has to offer today."

She captioned the message with a James Baldwin quote — "Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced" — and the hashtag #manystoriesmanyvoices.
Nyong\'o\'s reference to "unconscious prejudice" could refer to the Academy\'s voting body, which was 94% white, and 76% male as of 2013. The average age of academy members is 63. With figures like that, it\'s not hard to see the validity in Nyong\'o\'s statement.
Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs has even weighed in on the controversy, saying she\'s "heartbroken and frustrated" at the lack of diversity in this year\'s nominations.
"In the coming days and weeks we will conduct a review of our membership recruitment in order to bring about much-needed diversity in our 2016 class and beyond," she writes.
Nyong\'o won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2014 for her role in
