Chapter 1: Where’s Our Family?

I woke up to an empty kitanda inayofuata to me. I was confused. My twin bro, Sonic, and I always waited for our younger brother to come to us once he woke up. There were a few hours before Tails woke up, so I got up and looked for Sonic in all the rooms. I’d only thought that Sonic was missing, but I eventually realized that everybody else was gone… Except Tails. I woke up my little brother and alisema to him, ”Little bud, you’re the only person I can find in the whole palace. Seriously, c’mon.” He sat up in his kitanda and whispered, “What?” I nodded as he got out of his bed. Once he was awake a little more, I took his hand and we looked everywhere. Literally. The really weird part was that we couldn’t even fnd our parents. That frightened me, not even knowing where our parents were. We knew that we’d have to investigate further into this. But before we actually DID anything, we needed to know where our family was. And let me tell you, I had quite the idea where everybody was. I called for our maid, Destiny, and she went to make Tails and me breakfast. Hey, we can’t work on empty stomachs! I sat down on the couch, grabbed the TV remote, and then asked Tails, “Whaddaya wanna watch?” Tails plopped onto the inayofuata cushion on the kitanda and smiled at me, and then alisema “Isn’t it obvious, Manic? Put on ‘I Didn’t Do It!’” I’ll admit that I couldn’t argue there. kwa the time I put on the show, Destiny had finished the chakula and brought it to us. There was a lot zaidi chakula than I’d expected. When Tails and I finished eating, we headed off to a place I’d never had of thought I’d go kwa choice: Ro-butt-nik’s fortress.

Chapter 2: Searching the Fortress

Tails and I slipped past the robots in front of the main gates and ran inside. Dang, had I taught the little guy a lot of stuff about sneaking around and other things like that. I kept my eyes open for me and my little brother. This would not be a good time to get caught. Tails and I came across an elevator, but to enter it, we had to put in a passcode. I whispered to Tails as I pulled out my code-entering device, “No biggie, little bro. I’ve got somethin’ that can crack the code as fast as… Well, I dunno. It can’t crack the code as fast as Sonic, but wewe know what I mean.” Tails got this excited sparkle in his blue eyes. I’ll admit that it was kind of cute. But then the sparkle left his eyes and a worried look came across his face. He eventually whispered to me, “Manic, wewe do realize what’ll happen if Robotnik does have them, right?” Once I realized exactly what Tails meant was when I got worried. Ro-butt-nik’s dream is literally our worst nightmare. He plans to take over Mobius and he really wants to roboticize me and my family. “Don’t worry, Miles. We’re not going to let that happen. We will save our family if they’re here.” I couldn’t let him know how scared I was getting. We’d looked everywhere except one room- the roboticizing room. Tails and I were even zaidi frightened. There wasn’t much of a chance to save our family if they were in there.

Chapter 3: NO!!!!!

I silently opened the door. Tails knew that he needed to be quiet, so I didn’t have to tell him to. We took a run for it and hid under the main controls. I told my little brother to keep an eye on the roboticizer and when it was turned on, to let me know who was being roboticized. He nodded and sat really still. Ro-butt-nik was pretty dumb to not notice the two of us. Tails had turned away from the roboticizer for a few dakika to look back at me. When he turned around again, he got up, ran up to the roboticizer, and said, “Amy! No! Robotnik, please, no! Whatever wewe do, please don’t roboticize them!” But sadly, it was too late. Robotnik ignored Tails and had started to roboticize our sister. Then I noticed that besides Sonic and Amy, the rest of our family was, well, already roboticized. Our brother was trying to break free from the robot’s grip before it was too late; before he was roboticized. I’ll be honest, I would’ve taken Tails into my arms, but I was mad. I ran to where the robot was holding Sonic and tried to help him get out of there. That robot had a tight grip on my brother, though. Eventually I looked back at the roboticizer, which I knew I was going to regret. Amy was already completely roboticized. Then two zaidi of Robotnik’s robots came up to Tails and me and captured us. Tails, who ws crying, looked at me. All I did was put my head down with a sad look on my face. I still can’t believe he had the nerve to do this, but Robotnik walked up to us two and held our heads so we were looking at him. “Man, dude. wewe really ARE as ugly as Sonic says wewe are,” I thought. At first I heard Robotnik say something about his plan working perfectly au something, and then he said, clearly, “Your worst nightmare is coming true. Once I go roboticize your brother, I’ll roboticize wewe two, and then there will be nobody to stop me from taking over Mobius.” I tried as much as I could, but I struggled to break free. But then I saw the scene at the roboticizer. Robotnik was holding Sonic into the roboticizer and said, “It won’t be long now until wewe belong to me, Sonic. Sleet, turn on the roboticizer.” I wasn’t just going to let Robotnik get away with roboticizing my brother like that, so I screamed, “NO! LEAVE HIM ALONE!” Everybody just stared at me, and I had a look on my face that meant trouble. I usually hated all that attention, but I was angry. Robotnik alisema to his bounty hunter again, “Don’t listen to the brat. I’ll deal with the brat while wewe roboticize Sonic.” Sleet started laughing as he turned on the roboticizer. I kept screaming at the juu of my lungs, “NO! STOP THAT MACHINE! LEAVE MY TWIN BROTHER ALONE! NOW!” Robotnik came up to me and did another bratty thing. He held me against the ukuta kwa my vest and said, “Listen, wewe little brat. I already own you, so STOP trying to get out of being one of my robotic slaves, because I own you, and I can do what I want to what belongs to me. So prepare to be roboticized soon enough.” I was shocked. How dare that over-obese guy talk to me like that! I was going to say some not-so-nice words, but there was an eleven-year-old boy around. Miles suddenly started screaming and crying nonstop like he couldn’t stop. I gulped, but I forced myself to look back at the roboticizer. Sonic was one of Robotnik’s robotic slaves. I started to react just like my younger brother was. My twin brother was gone!

Chapter 4: Alone

I was so furious and upset, I yanked my arms from the robot’s grip. Making the tightest, hardest fist that I could, I ran up to Robotnik and punched that over-obese madman in his big, fat, ugly face. It didn’t mean anything to me that I was going to become the king. I wanted my parents and siblings back. But then I got a little frightened. Was punching Robotnik the best idea? I was able to ignore the feeling, though. I’d felt better after I punched him. But then I heard my little brother cry, “Put me down, wewe idiotic robots! Wait a minute… Mom?! Dad?! MANIC! HELP ME! PLEASE!” I turned around in alarm when I heard my brother’s cry. They were about to roboticize Miles. I ran up to the two robots that were holding Tails and yanked him out of their arms. But just after I got ahold of my little brother, they gave him some sort of shot. He got really weak, so I tried to help him along. But it was too late. That shot that those robots gave him was somehow roboticizing him. I stopped at the exit and in pain, I alisema to my little brother, “Miles, I’d do anything to save wewe right now, wewe know that. But that shot is roboticizing you, and I don’t know how to stop it. I’d bring wewe nyumbani with me so I could try to help, but I don’t want to hurt you. You’re going to have to stay here. I’ll get rid of Ro-butt-nik someday, I can promise wewe that. And I can also promise that you’ll be fine. I upendo you, Miles.” He reached up for my hand, but I just couldn’t take his. I really didn’t want to leave him there, but then I sat on the steps and began to cry. Then I heard a cage lock. I looked upwards and saw that the cage was one of Robotnik’s traps. With one last look at Miles, I pushed myself through the cage. Once I realized that I was free, I ran towards the palace faster than I’d ever ran in my life.

Chapter 5: All kwa Myself

I was miserably laying in my bed. The soldiers were forcing me to become king, and I just wasn’t ready. But since Dad was gone, I was inayofuata in line to become king. And even though I was looking at my wall, it didn’t help. My walls are covered with pictures of my family, and all that did was make me cry even zaidi than I already was. All of my siblings and my parents were just gone. I logged into my phone and texted my girlfriend, who would probably become the queen. She didn’t answer, though. I’ll be honest with you, I cried a lot that day. And I seriously didn’t want to become king the inayofuata day. But how would I be able to convince people to listen to me if I was just a prince? I couldn’t just quit who I was. I had to take a major step somehow, but how? I just layed there on my bed, looking at the stars. I didn’t even bother to look for our stars. Because of Robotnik, my life was ruined. I honestly just wanted to give myself up but there was no way that I could’ve done that to myself. I looked up to the picture of my dad when he was my age. He had nothing to worry about back then, but he was yet still so fearless. I was tired of just laying on my bed, so I got up and walked into what had been Miles’ room. I looked around and pulled out his blue box. That’s where he’d kept the things that he’d treasured most. I couldn’t help myself. I was too tempted to know what was in it, so I opened it as gentley as I could. Do wewe want to know what was in there? There were these plushies of us; of our whole family. I took them out and while I was looking them over, I said, “Amy must’ve made these for Tails when she took her sewing classes.” Those plushies were my greatest treasures now. I went back into my room and held the plushies tight in my arms as I fell asleep.

Chapter 6: The Paper

I was getting really bored without company. I went downstairs to what was Tails’ lab. It was real messy, so I started to clean it up. I tried to text Blaze again, but I doubted that she’d answer.

ManicMan101: hujambo Blaze.
PurpleChic306: Manic?! I thought u weren’t allowed 2 txt me during the siku cause u rn’t allowed 2 let your family know about me!

Yes! She answered! But why’d she have to bring up my family after what happened? I’ll have to explain to her…

ManicMan101: Can we not talk about my family right now? They were all roboticized, so now I am miserable.
PurpleChic306: Sure and I’m really sorry, Manic. I wish there was something we could do 2 bring them back.

Something we could do… Something I could do… What can I possibly do if Robotnik was after me now? I looked down as I was cleaning up, and my eye caught something in the corner of the room. There was this crumpled-up piece of paper in the corner. What’s that about exactly?

ManicMan101: Me 2. Wait a minute… I’ll brb.
PurpleChic306: Alright.

I un-crumpled the paper. It alisema ‘De-Roboticizer’ and it also explained how to make it. My little bro must’ve…

ManicMan101: Blaze, I found this: How 2 Make the De-Roboticizer. This must be something that Tails was working on before he was captured and roboticized. I can tell u that he wrote everything down, but he never had the chance 2 make it. This could change everything!
PurpleChic306: What? Can I help u?!

That’s my girl. I upendo her and her daughter so much. Even though I’m not her real father, Blaze’s daughter, Angelica, calls me her dad anyway. Angelica clearly doesn’t remember her real dad. It’s really awful that my family couldn’t know about them. Of course she can help!

ManicMan101: Of course u can help, but what about little Angelica?
PurpleChic306: I’ll find somebody to babysit her. We can’t risk her messing with anything. Plus, we r going 2 have 2 go down 2 the fortress 2 get your family anyway, which is even dangerous for us. She’d get captured 4 sure. It’ll be safer 2 keep her @ home.

That makes me feel so much better. Just talk about our little Angelica. She’s only three years old- and adorable, to be honest. I’m happy to at least have Blaze and Angelica to be my family. They’re both so sweet, and they actually care about me. I don’t want to wait. I’m going to text her again.

ManicMan101: Blaze, since it’s late, I’ll pick u up 2morrow @ 10 so we can do all this. Bring some weapons just in case.
PurpleChic306: Sounds good. And Manic, I don’t have weapons here because I don’t need any. Think about my name: Blaze. Do u know what ‘Blaze’ means?

I’m gonna be honest with her.

ManicMan101: I’m sorry, Blaze, but I have no clue what your name means.
PurpleChic306: Manic, my name means 2 things. 1) A strong fire, and 2) to burn; to burst into flame. I was cursed with the power to burn things, but it does come in handy sometimes. So I don’t need weapons, because I can just burn everything bad that surrounds me.

Woah! I never knew she had powers! I wonder if Angelica has powers, too. I’m gonna ask her…

ManicMan101: That’s so cool! Does Angel have powers?
PurpleChic306: Believe it au not, she does. The crazy part is that she’s like Elsa from ‘Frozen’. She can make it snow au freeze things au make things out of ice. The exact opposite of my power is my daughter’s power. Funny, right?

Wow. That’s crazy. Anyways, I’d better get to bed. Tomorrow’s going to be a crazy siku for me.

Chapter 7: Getting There… And Back

I woke up extra early the inayofuata morning. For some reason, my sight was blurry and I forgot what was going on that day. I made my way downstairs and had a doughnut and milk. I still didn’t remember what was going on that day, though. My mind drifted off to Blaze when it hit me. “Oh, yeah,” I said. “Blaze and I are doing our de-roboticizing thing today. I really hope this works, because I need my family back.” Blaze had told me to pick her up at 10 a.m., and it was only 7:30 a.m. kwa the time I finished eating. I shrugged and jumped into the couch. I grabbed the TV remote and put on ‘I Didn’t Do It!’ It reminded me of Tails so much, but surprisingly, I didn’t cry. I just hoped with all my moyo that our plan would work. A few hours passed, and I climbed into my van. I began to drive to my girl’s house. I got stuck in a lot of traffic, and I was late to her house, but I managed. I’ll admit that I was embarressed to be late, but Blaze climbed into the van happily. I said, “So… Hi.” Blaze smiled and replied with her polite and beautiful hello. She asked me how I knew what happened, so I answered, “Unfortunately, I was there when it happened to a few of them. That’s how I knew. But let me tell you, it was the worst with my little bro.” Blaze explained that she was sorry, but then I saw her look down from the window. I asked her, “Alright, Blaze. What’s bothering you, honey?” She answered, “You’re a lot luckier than wewe think. Robotnik captured my parents when I was four years old and he put them to death.” I held Blaze tight and explained to her that I was sorry and that I knew how she felt. Then it occurred to me that if we did something to Robotnik, we might be able to get her parents back. She again looked out the window as I explained my idea and said, “I wish, Manic. I really do wish.” We were almost back at the palace when a song came on the radio that seemed really familiar. Then I completely knew what the song was. It was Amy’s and Sonia’s inayopendelewa song that they wrote, ‘Doing Our Own Thing’. I tapped on Blaze. “What?” She asked. I answered her, “Amy and Sonia’s song is on the radio! Oh my gosh!” Blaze said, ecstatically, “Don’t keep it so low, for crying out loud! Turn it up!” And then she reached for the knob and turned up the volume. The two of us were having a blast! Once the song was over, we couldn’t hold it back. We hugged each other tight. I wondered what station it was, and Blaze answered that it was literally Amy’s and Sonia’s own station. I kept it on for the rest of the drive home. I had a new inayopendelewa radio station! When I drove into the garage, Blaze hopped out of the car. I climbed out, looked at her, and we suddenly raced each other to the lab.

Chapter 8: The Machine

I went over the orodha that I found with Blaze and made sure we had everything. Then we started to build the whole thing. Blaze used some of her energy to moto up the engine when I noticed that Blaze wasn’t standing there. I looked up, and there she was, on her phone, putting on Amy’s and Sonia’s station. When I saw her doing that, we cracked up for no reason at all, which was fine. Once we finished building our de-roboticizer, I put a robotic toy that I found into the machine. We had to wait for ten minutes, but whatever. After the ten minutes, the toy scurried out as a living animal. We knew that the machine would work if it worked the first time. The two of us were even zaidi excited, but we managed to take a break. I turned on the TV, and she begged me to turn on ‘I Didn’t Do It!’, which I was going to turn on either way. I told her that we’d continue our process the inayofuata siku since it was already midnight somehow. But then Blaze got a call from Angel’s babysitter. The babysitter had quit, which meant that we would have to bring her with us to Robotnik’s fortress, which really scared us. Although she’s three years old, she can’t au won’t talk, but she can get really noisy. But there was nothing else we could do with her. The inayofuata siku was our last and only hope. We were either going to succeed, au we were going to be roboticized.

Chapter 9: Getting My Family

Blaze stayed at the palace last night. So did our Angel. I woke up with Angelica looking at me. She smiled at me, and then I smiled at her. I said, “Come here, Angel. What are wewe doing, honey?” She giggled. I held my step-daughter close in my arms. Angelica’s three years old, like I alisema before. But she’s never spoken one word within those three years… Almost four. She giggled at me again. When Blaze woke up and saw Angel and me, she began to laugh. I alisema to her, “What? Can’t I spend time with my daughter and her mommy?” Blaze rolled her eyes and laughed again. I called for our maid to get us something to wear. I told her, “You can just get me whatever. But bring Blaze and Angelica to my sisters’ closets and let them pick out anything they want.” She nodded and brought me one of my t-shirts and a pair of jeans. She took the girls to my sisters’ old closets. Blaze chose the beautiful, fancy, pink, blue, purple, and yellow dress that Amy wore to her first inaonyesha as a princess after we were reunited. Her shoes were were pink with a yellow design. Angelica’s outfit was a pink t-shirt with a red and yellow maua, ua on it, a purple-ish, blue-ish skirt, these fashionable and adorable gloves that don’t cover her fingers, and green boots. Blaze looked beautiful and Angelica looked sooooo adorable. Then we hopped into the van. Blaze told her daughter, “My precious Angel, since wewe don’t have a babysitter anymore, you’re going to have to come with me and your daddy. Listen to me: What we’re going to do is very dangerous, so you’re going to need to keep your mouth shut the whole time. No laughing, no crying, just no little noises at all. Do wewe hear me, sweetheart?” Angelica nodded, and just to make sure, I asked Angelica, “Do wewe understand what your mommy said?” To Blaze, I said, “I just want to make sure that she understands, Blaze. She’s only three, after all.” She nodded again and when we passed McDonald’s, she pointed out the window. I told her that we’d go tomorrow. She seemed satisfed. Then we got to the fortress. I hate to say this, but I was so scared, I didn’t know if we were going to make it out of there alive. But Blaze kept reassured me that I’d be fine. We got out of the car and I told Angelica to stay with me and her mother. I gulped as we walked inside the fortress. Blaze and I kept looking around and after a while, she said, “These poor robots… Okay, seriously, how are we going to tell your family apart from the rest of the other robots?” I thought for a few dakika when my medallion glowed. Then it hit me- my whole family has medallions. That’s what I told Blaze right before a robot grabbed my arm. I yanked my arm from the robot’s arm and turned around. After I looked at that robot when I suddenly recognized it- the robot was Amy! I called, “Blaze, grab this robot!” Blaze asked, “Why, Manic?” I answered, “Blaze, this isn’t just any robot. Don’t wewe recognize her? It’s Amy!” Blaze grabbed my sister and brought her into the van. I thought to myself, “One down, five to go. This is actually somewhat easier than I thought. Now I just have to find the rest of my siblings and my parents.” Blaze came back just as I found my little brother. He somehow still wasn’t completely roboticized, which made me really happy. Blaze and I picked him up and helped him into our van. I was even zaidi relieved after finding Tails. Two down, four to go. As Blaze and I walked back into the fortress, I recommended that we walk around some more. We got to an elevator and didn’t find anybody else yet. I punched in the code and all three of us walked into it. We just got to the sekunde and when the elevator opened, two zaidi robots came towards us. Angelica hid behind her mother. Blaze commanded, “Manic! Destroy these two robots!” I answered, “Not gonna happen, Blazelle. These are my parents! There’s no way I’m gonna hurt my parents.” Blaze apparently didn’t realize that it was them, because she kept apologizing. I told her that it was no biggie. We just needed a way to get my mom and dad to the van. Angel tapped on me and tried to lift up my mom. I told her not to try, for she would've hurt herself. Blaze and went back to the van, brought my mom and dad down into it, and then we went back to the room with Angel. Then we found Sonia. She collapsed in the snow, and I carried my sister to the car. Altough she was roboticized, she was still beautiful. I smiled and whispered, “It’s okay, Sonia. Don’t wewe worry. You’re going to be alright. We’re going home.” When I got back upstairs, Blaze signaled for us to follow her. Our Angel made it stop snowing and we went up another floor. Blaze asked, “Alright, who else do we need to get?” I answered,
“Well, the only one we need to get is now Sonic, and if I know my brother, he won’t be too hard to find.” We ended up on the juu floor. I looked around, praying that Sonic was up there. And just before we left, I heard Robotnik coming towards where the three of us were. I was half scared, but I was also half hoping that Sonic was with him. I still knew better, so I had us hide under some bila mpangilio controls. Sure enough, Sonic was with Robotnik. I tiptoed towards them and quickly grabbed my brother. I signaled for the girls to leave ASAP. They left, and I followed them while calling, “Nice try, Ro-butt-nik, but Sonic’s back to bein a freedom fighter, and so’s the rest of my family. I told my brother,
“Sonic, I need your speed right now. I’ll give your medallion back, I promise, bro.” I took off Sonic’s medallion and put it on me. I immediately had my brother’s speed. A green speedster! I hopped in the van, gave Sonic his medallion back, and began to drive away. Blaze warned Angel, “Angelica, whatever wewe do, do not leave your father’s lap. wewe hear me?” Angel nodded and fell asleep in my lap. I smiled nervously at Blaze and then looked in the back. My family was pretty still, Sonia was still out cold, and Sonic was running in circles. I rushed us towards the palace as fast as I could.

To be continued...
