WHAT DO wewe THINK? Tom Mesereau, who successfully defended the King of Pop during his 2005 molestation trial, recently defended Jackson on CNN saying he was exploited and taken advantage of.
Mesereau said, “He [Jackson] was a very kind-hearted, gentle, sensitive, intuitive artist who truly believed he could heal the world in some positive way. He attracted one profiteer after another. There was loneliness, isolation, distrust. The cruellest thing of all was taking children and turning children against him.”
The attorney also criticised the media's failure to ripoti the facts during the trial, opting instead to focus on the sensationalism. “Mountains were made out of molehills," Mesereau said. "The case was characterised kwa crisis, shock and confusion.”
The 60-year-old lawyer also revealed that he was confident from the beginning that they would win the case. He said, “I thought we were winning all along.”
