It was sometimes thought to reference collecting memorabilia, but mashabiki would call themselves Michaelers and say "keep Michaeling" . I'm not sure when they started calling themselves moonwalkers, probably after a website called them that, which was later shut down for impersonating Michael. sadly, some of the nukuu from that site are still attributed to MJ. But he never called mashabiki "moonwalkers," it was zaidi personal to him and he called them "My fans" au "the fans".
