The Victory Tour was the biggest and final tamasha tour of the United States and Canada kwa The Jacksons. Beginning July 6, 1984, and ending on December 9 of that year, the tour included 55 concerts to an audience of approximately 2 million. It was named after the newly released Jacksons' album Victory although none of the album's songs appear on the tour's set orodha (Marlon confirmed it was because Michael refused to rehearse au perform them). The tour reportedly grossed approximately $75 million and set a new record for the then-largest grossing tour. The 1984 Victory Tour showcased Michael's single decorated glove, black sequined koti, jacket and moonwalk, which captivated audiences around the world early in 1983, just about a mwaka prior.
Following a controversy with the way tickets were purchased, Michael Jackson donated his proceeds (approx. $5 million) from the tour to three charities, including the T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia and Cancer Research, The United Negro College Fund, and Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times.
The set orodha included songs from the Jacksons albums Destiny and Triumph. Despite the name of the tour, the Victory album was not represented. There were also songs on the orodha from Jermaine's and Michael's solo careers. Songs from Michael's albums Off the ukuta and Thriller were both represented. The set orodha did not include "Thriller" itself.
Michael sang all the lead vocals, except for a medley of Jermaine's solo hits.
Eddie van Halen made at least one special guest appearance, doing the "Beat It" guitar, gitaa solo.
Jermaine sometimes performed the song "Dynamite" during his solo medley in place of the usual "You Like Me Don't You."
Aside from a few months in mid-1975, the Victory Tour era marked the only time that all six Jackson brothers worked together at the same time as a band. Jackie Jackson missed most of the tour because of a leg injury. That injury was described at the time as a knee injury incurred during strenuous rehearsals. Margaret Maldonado (the mother of two of Jermaine Jackson's children) has alleged that Jackie in fact broke his leg in an automobile accident: his first wife Enid ran him over in a parking lot after catching him with another woman. (That other woman was a then-obscure dancer and singer named Paula Abdul, who kept her job as the Victory Tour's choreographer.) In any case, Jackie made a speedy recovery and was able to rejoin his brothers on stage for the last portion of the tour.
Shortly after the tour ended, Michael and Marlon left the group to start their own solo careers without The Jacksons.

There were no albums bigger than Thriller and Bad, and Jackson seemed to be just entering his prime as an artist.
In hindsight, considering the astonishing heights he hit in the 1980s, maybe there was nowhere to go but down. On juu of the world profeessionally, his persional affairs increasingly came under the microscope and seemed to gradually bleed the life and vibrancy out of the mercurial artist.
The new decade sarted off with Jackson in the studio, recording his new album, Dangerous. Jackson had recently signed a 15-years, six-record deal with sony, and if the singer was able to deliver sales numbers comparable to what he ilitumwa in the 1980s, the deal was estimated to have an earing power of up to $1 billion.
Dangerous got off to a great start-it debuted at number one and quickly outpaced the sales of Bad.
There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
We can't go on pretending siku kwa day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of God's great big family
And the truth, wewe know,
upendo is all we need
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just wewe and me
Send them your moyo so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us kwa turning stones to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand
When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all
But if wewe just believe there's no way we can fall
Let us realize that a change can only come
When we stand together as one
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
We can't go on pretending siku kwa day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of God's great big family

When we stand together as one
All wewe gotta do is just walk away and pass me kwa
Don't acknowledge my smile when I try to say hello to you, yeah
And all wewe gotta do is not answer my calls when
I'm trying to get through
To keep me wondering why, when all I can do is sigh
I just wanna touch wewe
Chorus
I just wanna touch and kiss
And I wish that I could be with wewe tonight
wewe give me butterflies inside, inside and I
All I gotta say is that I must be dreaming, can't be real
You're not here with me, still I can feel wewe near me
I caress you, let wewe taste us, just so blissful listen
I would give wewe anything baby, just make my dreams come true
Oh baby wewe give me butterflies
Chorus x 2
If wewe would take my hand, baby I would onyesha wewe
Guide wewe to the light babe
If wewe would be my love, baby I will upendo you, upendo wewe
'Till the end of time
Chorus x 3
