Chapter 18,
January 25, 2011,
I am so excited because I'm in London and finishing my last four concerts of my "legacy" tour and that means I get to go home! Don't get me wrong, I upendo being on tour but; I miss Carter!
I was just settling in back in my hotel room, when there was a knock at the door. I opened it assuming it would be room service but, instead there was a tall, good-looking teenage boy with brown hair and blue eyes standing there. I got worried because I thought he was an obsessed fan. I alisema "sorry but wewe can't come in! mashabiki aren't even supposed to know what room I'm in!" I started yelling for security and he alisema frantically "calm down AJ! I'm not one of your crazy fans! Don't wewe remember me?" I alisema "not really, who are you?" He rolled his eyes and alisema "your friend Kyle! My dad was Marafiki with your dad and we used to hang out together when wewe came to the UK!"
I alisema "it is you! I haven't seen wewe in forever! Come on in; we have a lot of catching up to do!" He walked in and sat down in a chair that was in the room. He alisema "I heard wewe were in London for the rest of the week and decided to stop by." I stared at him and how much he's changed from when we were little kids. I'll be honest with you, he is crazy attractive! I snapped out of it and alisema "yeah; it's so weird seeing wewe again! I thought my odds of seeing wewe again were very slim." He asked "so, where are wewe going to go after the tour is over?" I alisema "back to my grandmother's house." He asked "you must make lots of money; how come wewe haven't moved to your own place yet?" I alisema "after I get back to California, I'm going to start house hunting."
He picked up the framed picture of Carter that I had displayed on the dawati and alisema "this must be wewe are son. He is on every tabloid magazine in London!" I alisema "yeah; don't remind me!" He alisema "he's really cute!" I alisema "thanks" as I looked at the clock. I alisema "I'm really tired but, if wewe want to hang out tomorrow is my siku off." He gave me a friendly hug and alisema "I'll pick wewe up here tomorrow morning."
January 26, 2011,
Kyle knocked on my hotel room door and I opened it. He alisema "I hope you're ready for a good siku today!" Jeff followed me out of the hotel room and I introduced him to Kyle. I asked "where are we going?" He alisema "I thought we could go see a movie; if that's cool with you?" I alisema "I haven't been to the sinema in months because I've been so busy with everything to do with the tour."
The dakika we stepped out of the hotel, paparazzi swarmed me. Jeff pushed them back as best he could while Kyle and I squeezed our way to the car. Once we were inside, Kyle asked "is it always like that when wewe go out?" I alisema "sadly, this is my new normal!" He alisema "I couldn't imagine having to deal with that every day!" I alisema "I don't think anyone could ever get used to that. That's why tried to keep Carter a secret for as long as possible. Thanks to my uncle, Carter will never have a normal life!"
Kyle asked "so; do wewe still get in trouble a lot?" I laughed and alisema "I'll always be getting into some sort of trouble!" He laughed and alisema "I remember when your dad brought wewe and your siblings to my house. wewe called your dad 'a stupid dummy head’ and I just looked at wewe because I couldn't believe wewe had the guts to talk to your dad like that! No matter how many times he put wewe in the corner, right after wewe would get out he would have to put wewe right back in because wewe would do something else that he didn't approve of!" I alisema "yeah that definitely sounds like something I would do!"
The car pulled up in front of the movie theater and thousands of mashabiki were crowding the streets because word had gotten out that I was going there to see a movie. I sighed with frustration and Kyle suggested "why don't we just go back to my dad's place? He and my stepmom left last night to go on a business trip and they won't be back for three weeks." I asked "what about your little brother and little sister?" He alisema "they are with my great aunt." I alisema dying with the anticipation of getting to be a normal teenager for once "that sounds awesome!" Jeff alisema "I guess since you'll be at his house then I don't really need to be there to protect wewe because no one will know that you're there."
Kyle and I walked through the front door of his father's nyumbani in London. I looked around and it doesn't look like much has changed since I was there when I was a little kid. Kyle sat down on the kitanda and gestured for me to sit down inayofuata to him. He alisema "I hope this isn't going to be too boring for wewe sitting around here!" I alisema "boring are wewe kidding me? I've been looking mbele to just being able to relax for a long time!" He passed me an Xbox controller and asked "you want to play?" I alisema "sure but; be prepared for me to kick your butt!" He playfully alisema "I think you're a little too overconfident!" I smirked at him and alisema "no; I'm just stating the obvious." He smiled and alisema "oh; we'll have to see about that!"
After about four hours of playing video games, Kyle's stomach started growling and he asked "do wewe want to make something to eat?" I alisema "sure but, I have to warn wewe that I'm not the best cook!" He laughed and alisema "neither am I so; I guess were even." I opened up the fridge and saw some hamburger that wasn't frozen. He opened up one of the cupboards and alisema "there's pasta, tambi shells." He tossed the box to me and I alisema as I looked down at it "that's not pasta, tambi shells wewe doofus; it's bowtie pasta!" He laughed and asked "what's the difference? There pretty much the same thing; just shaped differently." I alisema "I guess you're right about that one! What's the point of making them into little bowtie shapes? You're just going to eat them anyway." He laughed and asked "I'm guessing were making pasta, tambi with meat sauce?" I alisema "yeah; I'll do the pasta, tambi and wewe can cook the hamburger."
Kyle's phone started ringing and he stopped cooking the hamburger to answer it. I heard him say "oh that's great news! So all I have to do is pick up my diploma and drop off all my books? Okay, I'll stop kwa the school at the end of the week to drop everything off. Thanks for letting me know. I'll see wewe then Mr. Hartford; goodbye." I asked curiously "who was that?" Kyle responded with a big smile on his face "that was my principal and he alisema my application for early graduation was approved this morning!" I asked "you're graduating a mwaka early?" He alisema "yeah; I have really good grades in all my classes and I really hate doing sit down paperwork. I decided to add 12th grade classes to my schedule so I could graduate early." As I put up off the on his plate I alisema "you are so lucky!"
He was speechless and then we were interrupted kwa the sound of the smoke alarm going off. He alisema "oh crap; I forgot about the hamburger!" I burst out laughing as he stood up on a chair swarming smoke away from the alarm. I alisema as I looked at the charred remains of part of our meal" well; it looks like were just having pasta, tambi with sauce!"
We both sat down in the living room on the kitanda and he alisema "sorry about burning the hamburger!" I alisema "that's fine; it doesn't really matter!" He passed me the sprinkled cheese and I asked "so what are wewe planning on doing after wewe get out of high school this week?" He alisema "I really want to be a mechanic! My friend dad owns a body duka a few blocks away from here and he offered me a job at the beginning of inayofuata year." I asked "what are wewe going to do to occupy yourself until then?" He sighed and alisema "I'll probably just be sitting around here because all my Marafiki will be at school during the day."
I thought about it for sekunde and alisema "I have an idea." He asked while wiping his face with a napkin "what?" I alisema "my tour ends this week and wewe can come back to California with me to hang out! There's a spare bedroom for wewe to use and I'm sure my grandmother wouldn't mind because wewe and I are just friends!" He alisema "it sure would be nice to go back to California but; I wouldn't want to impose!" I alisema "my grandmother's pretty laid-back when it comes to me; she won't care! She enjoys hosting guests at Havenhurst! Plus I'm in desperate need of some friend time! If I don't go back to you, I'll be stuck in the house with them all the time!" He alisema "sure I'll come back with you; that does sound like fun!" I heard the tour bus pull up into Kyle's driveway and alisema "okay; come kwa the hotel at the end of the week and wewe can just leave with me on the flight back to California." He gave me a friendly hug goodbye and alisema "I'll see wewe then!"
January 30, 2011,
I performed the last tamasha of my "Legacy" tour last night and was packing up my suitcase so we could leave for our flight back to California. There was a knock on my door and I answered it. Kyle stood there with his suitcase and he was dressed in winter clothes. I laughed and alisema "you are going to California with me; not Alaska!" He alisema "I know; all my shorts and tank tops are in my suitcase. This is all that I had left hanging in my closet to wear today."
Frank yelled from his hotel room "are wewe guys ready to leave yet? We have to get on the tour bus and hit the road if we want to make back to your grandmother's kwa tomorrow! Kyle alisema "wait; I thought we were flying." I alisema "I thought we were too; but Frank forgot all about the tour bus. If we flew, there would be no way to get the bus back to California and to the rental place!" Kyle alisema "oh okay; that's fine with me!"
Frank, Jeff, Kyle, and I all boarded the tour bus that was waiting outside the back door of the hotel; so I could easily sneak out without anybody noticing me. I sat down on the kitanda and Kyle alisema with his mouth wide open "this is so awesome!" I alisema "I thought it was too; at first!" Kyle asked "you mean that you're bored kwa all of this?" I alisema "yeah; nothing beats being at nyumbani with my family!" He alisema "I bet wewe can't wait to see Carter!" I alisema "more than wewe could imagine! I've only seen him twice since I've been on tour and that makes me mad because I was told I would be able to see him a lot more! I wasn't even able to go see him on his sekunde birthday two months zamani and it hurt me a lot because the only thing I could do was help sing happy birthday to him on Skype!" Kyle alisema "I'm sure he'll be excited to see wewe tomorrow!" I alisema "Prince has been trying to explain to him siku kwa siku when I'm coming back nyumbani but; he's too young to really understand! I don't even think he understands that I'll be back tomorrow! I'm so excited to surprise him and actually see with my own two eyes how big he had gotten! It's been eight months since I've seen him in person!" Kyle asked "do wewe think Carter is going to like me?" I alisema "I have a feeling that he's going to upendo you! I think he desperately wants a male role model!" Kyle alisema "well; I'd be happy to be that for him until I have to go back to London to work in the body shop!"
Hearing Kyle say that made me smile, I've always wanted to provide that for Carter but, I thought that was out of the swali for a long time after Damien left! Even though having Kyle around as a friend to spend time with is only temporary, I'm definitely going to use him as a support system while he's in California! I'm getting to the point where I want to start breaking away from the adults in my life and start creating a life for Carter and I on my own! I hope I can figure all this out!
January 31, 2011,
I was woken up kwa Frank nudging my shoulder. I opened up my eyes and he alisema "wake up kid; we're on the mitaani, mtaa that leads to Havenhurst." I looked over at the alarm clock that alisema 8:00 AM on it and got off of the full-sized kitanda that was in the tour bus. I shook Kyle awake and he sat up on the bunk kitanda that he had fallen asleep on last night. He rubbed his eyes and asked "are we here?" I yawned and alisema "yeah!" Frank had the Havenhurst security guard open up the front gate and he parked the tour bus. Kyle and I got off the bus and Frank alisema "enjoy your two mwezi break AJ! I'm pretty sure I'll have a whole bunch of ideas for your inayofuata career songesha when it's over!" I alisema "okay; see wewe in two months Frank and Jeff." With that, the bus driver pulled the tour bus out of the driveway and I looked at Kyle with a smile on my face.
I alisema "come on; I'm dying to see my family!" He followed me into the karakana and I opened the door with the spare key that was underneath the welcome mat. I walked inside with Kyle behind me and Prince looked up at me. He shouted "AJ's home" and ran up to hug me. Blanket, Paris, and grandma all got up from the meza, jedwali and hugged me. I asked "is Carter still asleep?" Grandma alisema "yeah; he should be awake anytime now though!"
Grandma's eyes shifted over to Kyle and she asked "who's this AJ?" Before I could respond, Prince interrupted kwa asking "Kyle; is that you?" Kyle shook his head in agreement and I asked "grandma, I was wondering if Kyle could stay with us for a while?"
She immediately pulled me into one of the other rooms and asked in hushed tones "what is he to wewe guys? How do wewe know him?" I alisema "his father was a friend of dad's and we used to hang out from time to time when we were little." She asked "okay; well are wewe two dating?" I laughed and alisema "no; we're just friends!" She alisema "as long as wewe two are just Marafiki he can stay in the spare bedroom but; I'm telling wewe right now that if I catch any funny business going on he'll be out the door and you'll be going with him! Am I being understood?" I rolled my eyes and alisema "yes grandma; there's nothing to worry about!" I hugged her and alisema "thank wewe for letting him stay here! I'm so glad to have a friend to hang out with!"
Grandma and I went back out into the jikoni and I alisema "she alisema wewe could stay Kyle." Kyle alisema "thank wewe so much Mrs. Jackson!" Grandma responded "you're welcome; I'm glad to see Alanna has a friend again!" Blanket hugged me and alisema playfully "don't ever leave again! I missed wewe too much!" I put a piece of his hair behind his ear and alisema "don't worry; I won't be working for another two months and even after that, I'm not going on tour for a while!" He smiled up at me and alisema "good!"
As he stood there in the kitchen, I heard a tiny voice shouting from upstairs "uncle Prince; I'm awake!" Prince walked toward the stairs and I alisema "I'm back; I got it! Kyle, come up with me because I want wewe to meet someone!"
Kyle followed me upstairs and we walked into my bedroom. Carter was standing up in his crib, kitanda cha mtoto mchanga with his hair sticking out everywhere. Carter alisema "mommy; when did wewe come back?" I lifted him out of the crib, kitanda cha mtoto mchanga and alisema "I just got back buddy; what's up?" He alisema "I missed wewe so much mommy!" I alisema "I missed wewe so much more! Can I have a kiss?" He lightly pecked my lips and I alisema "I want wewe to meet somebody! This is my friend Kyle; can wewe say hello?" Carter hid his face in my shoulder and I alisema "I guess he's going to act shy today."
I put him on the ground in front of Kyle and he clutched my leg. Kyle bent down and alisema "hi buddy!" Carter looked up at me and asked "why does he talk funny?" I picked Carter up and started laughing. Kyle alisema "he must be talking about the English accent I have!" I alisema "he lives in England Carter and a lot of people from England talk that way." Carter alisema seeming to lose interest in Kyle "I'm hungry!" I alisema "okay; let's go get wewe something to eat."
The three of us went downstairs and I put Carter in his high chair. I asked as I looked in the pantry "do wewe want cereal?" Carter alisema "Cheerios" and I took the box over to the table. I poured the cereal into a bowl and passed it to him. I asked "what do wewe say Carter?" He responded "thank you" and I alisema "you're welcome."
After he was done eating, I let him out of his high chair and we walked into the play room. Carter dumped out his bucket of hot wheels cars and sat down on the floor. As I played with him, Kyle sat down inayofuata to me and watched in silence. I looked over at him and then back at Carter as I alisema "Carter; Kyle knows a lot about cars!" Carter stood up and passed Kyle one of the toy cars and asked "what kind is that?" Kyle looked down at it and alisema "it looks like the mustang to me!" Carter alisema "I want to onyesha wewe my racetrack!" As Kyle knelt down on the floor to play with him, I whispered in his ear "I think wewe won him over!"
February 1, 2011,
I woke up this morning to Carter calling for me. I forced myself up even though I didn't want to and walked over to take him out of his crib. I playfully alisema as I smiled down at him "I really wish wewe didn't wake up so early every day!" He reached his arms out for me to pick him up and I put him on my hip. He looked at me and asked "where's Kyle mommy?" I alisema "I think he's still sleeping. Do wewe want to go wake him up?" Carter shook his head in agreement and we made our way down the hall.
We walked into the guest bedroom and Kyle was fast asleep wearing a plain white T-shirt and blue pajama bottoms. I put Carter down on the kitanda and he started jumping on it. Kyle opened his eyes and smiled. Carter stuck his face a few inches away from Kyle's and asked "are wewe awake yet?" Kyle and I laughed and he alisema "I am now!"
Kyle got out of the kitanda and I alisema "the first thing he alisema this morning was 'where's Kyle?'” Grandma yelled from downstairs "breakfast is ready!" I was about to pick Carter up when he alisema "no; I want Kyle to carry me!" I looked at him shocked and Kyle alisema "alright." Kyle picked him up and Carter smiled like I've never seen him smile before.
We went downstairs and Kyle put Carter in his high chair. There was a whole bunch of chakula on the meza, jedwali and everyone sat down. I passed Carter a piece of bacon and Paris asked "what was it like being on tour AJ?" I alisema "it was really fun at first but; then I started to really miss wewe guys! I'm definitely glad to be back home! Even at the hotels I would stay at, mashabiki would stand outside shouting my name over and over; all night long!" Don't get me wrong, I upendo my fans; but wewe think that they would know that I would be trying to sleep at night!" Prince asked "did wewe do meet and greets before the concerts with fans?" I alisema "I did a few times; but the mashabiki got too crazy and it started to become dangerous! One of them actually ripped the dhahabu chain I was wearing right off my neck and ran off with it after she had her picture taken! Enough about me; how do wewe and Paris like going to school at Buckley?" Paris alisema "it's so much better than homeschooling! I've made tons of Marafiki already!" Prince alisema "yeah me too; I made the mpira wa kikapu team last week!" I alisema "that's cool; I can't wait to go to one of your games!" He alisema "we'll have to play some mpira wa kikapu so I can get some practice in!" I took the last bite of my chakula and asked "you want to go play mpira wa kikapu outside right now?" Prince threw his plate in the sink and alisema "sure." Kyle alisema "oh man; I can't wait to see this!"
Kyle, Prince, Carter, and I walked outside to the mpira wa kikapu court. Kyle sat down in the nyasi with Carter and alisema "look; mommy's going to play mpira wa kikapu with uncle Prince!" I dribbled the mpira wa kikapu back and forth in my hands and alisema "I hope you're ready to lose little brother!" He alisema "don't get too ahead of yourself!"
We played for a solid saa and Prince was only a few points away from me. Both of us were getting tired and Prince shot the ball in one last attempt to catch up to me. The ball rebounded off the backboard and fell to the ground. I laughed and alisema "well, well, well, looks like I won again!" He alisema as he smiled "good game AJ! One of these times I'm going to end up beating you!" I alisema "whatever wewe say Prince."
Carter ran up to me and alisema "yay; mommy won!" Kyle alisema "I had no idea that wewe are so good at basketball!" I alisema "I taught Prince everything he knows and he still hasn't beaten me yet! I guarantee wewe that once he gets a little bit taller he'll be some true competition for me." Kyle and I laughed as we looked down as Carter attempted to dribble the basketball.
February 17, 2011,
It was 9 o'clock in the morning when Prince came into my room and alisema "we'll be back in a few weeks." That caused me to open my eyes and I asked "where are wewe guys going?" Prince alisema "I don't really know; I guess we're just going to hang out. I think were going to Hawaii. It sucks that wewe can't come with us! Grandma wasn't expecting wewe to be done with your tour so soon au else she would have bought wewe a plane ticket!" I alisema "that's okay; I have Carter and Kyle to keep me company while all of wewe are gone! Do wewe know exactly when wewe be back?" Prince alisema "grandma alisema just a few weeks but; wewe know how she is always changing her mind." I got out of kitanda and hugged him as I alisema "have fun in Hawaii! I'll hold the fort down while you're gone!"
After I heard all of them leave, I looked over at Carter's crib, kitanda cha mtoto mchanga to see that he was still fast asleep. I went downstairs and saw Kyle sitting down on the couch." Kyle alisema "it feels weird having only three people in this huge house!" I alisema "I'm definitely going to enjoy the quiet while we have it.
February 18, 2011,
I woke up this morning and felt like I had the flu. Sure enough, a few dakika later I ended up throwing up! Kyle came into my bedroom startled kwa the noise and asked "are wewe okay?" I climbed back into the kitanda alisema "I feel awful!" Carter was woken up kwa our conversation and alisema "mommy." I let out a deep sigh and Kyle alisema "if you're not feeling well I can take care of him for you!" I rubbed my eyes and alisema "oh no; I couldn't ask wewe to do that." He alisema "I don't mind; get some rest because wewe look exhausted!" He took Carter out of his crib, kitanda cha mtoto mchanga and alisema "looks like it's just me and wewe today dude!"
Four hours later, I woke up and was feeling quite a bit better. I walked downstairs and into the play room. I sat down on the kitanda inayofuata to Kyle and he asked "are wewe feeling any better?" I alisema "a lot better; thanks for watching him for me!" He alisema "no problem; we've been watching cartoons all day." I asked "did wewe change him? I won't be mad if wewe didn't! Most guys don't want anything to do with that!" Kyle alisema "of course I did! For someone who's never changed a diaper before, I think I did pretty good; considering I had to change him five times." I alisema "I'm glad he got it out of his system before I woke up!" Kyle alisema "I didn't know if wewe were in the mood to eat anything; but I ordered a pizza and it just got here about five dakika ago.
We walked into the jikoni and sat down at the table. Kyle put Carter in his high chair and I stood up so I could cut his food. Kyle stopped me and alisema "I got it; wewe just sit and relax!" I stared at him as he cut Carter's pizza into the smallest possible pieces and passed it to him.
I've already got a small crush on Kyle; but seeing his inner parent is really making me zaidi interested. With Damien I was just being a stupid teenager but now that I've got Carter to worry about I can't be like that anymore.
March 15, 2011,
I was sitting on the kitanda in the living room, not expecting to do much for my 17th birthday because my family was still in Hawaii and it was still just the three of us.
It was about 5 o'clock at night and Kyle alisema "come on; I want to take Carter and wewe out for a nice chajio, chakula cha jioni on me!" I alisema with a surprised look on my face "if wewe really want to wewe can." Carter interrupted "I want to eat McDonald's!" I looked at Kyle and alisema "I kind of agree with him on that one! I don't really like going to fancy restaurants." Kyle alisema "if wewe want to go to McDonald's then we can go to McDonald's! It's your birthday!"
After I put Carter's shoes on him, we walked out to my truck and Kyle put Carter in his car seat. We drove to McDonald's and ordered our food. After getting our food, we decided to stay in the truck to eat. As I was about to pass Carter his french fries, I saw that he was fast asleep with an empty cheeseburger wrapper on his lap. I laughed and alisema "well; it looks like wewe and I have some extra fries." I put the fries in between the two of us and it seemed like every time one of us would try to reach for a fry our hands would clash with each other.
Kyle and I walked through the front door of Havenhurst and I was carrying Carter who was still asleep in my arms. I gently laid him down on the kitanda and turned the TV on just in case he woke up so he would know where he was. I covered him with a throw blanket and kissed his forehead.
When I walked upstairs to my room I noticed that Kyle was sitting on my kitanda scrolling through songs on my iPod. I sat down inayofuata to him and he took the earphones out of his ears. He alisema "you have a lot of Jesse McCartney songs on here! Do wewe like him au something? I pointed to the ukuta with all my Jesse McCartney posters on it and alisema "it's pretty obvious!"
We started talking and I alisema "I want to tell wewe something but; I don't want to freak wewe out!" He alisema "it's alright; I promise wewe that whatever is on your mind it won't freak me out; just tell me!" I took a deep breath and alisema "I have a huge crush on you!" He took a sigh of relief and alisema "oh thank God; finally!" I looked at him confused and asked "finally what?" He alisema "since the moment I saw wewe at the hotel I've had a crush on you! I was too afraid to say anything because I didn't know if wewe felt the same way!"
He leaned in to kiss me and I alisema "wait; if this is leading to where I think it is, I don't want it to be a just because sort of thing!" He asked "what do wewe mean kwa that?" I alisema "I'm not the type to songesha things fast; but I've got a son and wewe and I aren't just going to be intimate! If wewe want this just as bad as I do right now, than wewe and I have to be officially dating!" He alisema "that's what I want too; what did wewe think I was going to do? I'm not going to just have sex with wewe because I'm in the mood at the moment! Has a guy ever used wewe like that before?" I alisema "yeah; right after Carter's birthday his dad convinced me that he was going to be there and a few days later I found out he had a girlfriend." Kyle alisema "that's awful; I would never do that to you!" He leaned in to kiss me again and I stopped him kwa saying "wait; I want wewe to realize that if wewe are choosing to tarehe me Carter's part of that deal! Even if we break up, wewe have to promise me that he'll keep in contact with wewe in some way! I don't know if you've noticed; but he really likes wewe and I don't want him to get hurt kwa something between us!" Kyle looked me in the eyes and alisema "I don't just like you; I'm pretty sure I upendo wewe and I upendo Carter too!"
I had to take a dakika to think about what he had just alisema to me. Did he just promise never to hurt me au Carter? Did he promise to never abandon Carter like Damien did? Wait; did he just tell me that he loves me? Damien had alisema that he loved me before but never like that!
Kyle interrupted my thoughts kwa asking "are wewe okay? Did I say too much too soon?" I took the headphones out of my iPod and pressed play on "right where wewe want me" kwa Jesse McCartney. I finally granted his request for a kiss and let the muziki take control of me as it blasted through the speakers. "Girl; I'm going to let wewe have your way with me. When wewe songesha like that it's hard to breathe! I've always held it back and played it slow; but not this time! Baby; don't be gentle… I can handle anything!"
After we were done, I quickly slipped back into my clothes and flopped back onto the bed. My moyo was still racing as I tried to catch my breath and alisema "that was seriously so much freaking better than it ever was with Damien! I can honestly say that was the best sex I have ever had!" Kyle alisema as he looked over at me with sweat dripping down his face "that was the only sex I've ever had!" I laughed in disbelief and alisema "yeah right; there's no way wewe were a virgin! That was too good!" He alisema "no really; I was!" I alisema "but you're so good-looking! How could a girl keep their hands off you?" He alisema "I wanted my first time to be special and wewe definitely made it worth it!"
May 4, 2011,
Surprisingly, Kyle and I have been able to keep our relationship a secret from the rest of the family. We only do anything if we are in the house alone and no one suspects anything out of the ordinary. I just hope we never get caught because I don't want to give up on the amazing connection the two of us have together!
It was just Kyle, Carter, and I at Havenhurst because my siblings were at school and I had just gotten nyumbani from a long siku of interviews for talk shows. I walked into my room and Kyle was wrapped up in the towel after just taking a shower. I alisema "thanks for watching Carter today again. I really appreciate it!" He pushed me up against the dresser and I looked around to see if Carter was in the room.
I seductively bit Kyle's bottom lip as he pulled away from a kiss and he immediately went back for another one. This time, he kissed me harder and longer than before. We were both startled kwa the noise of Blanket yelling "gross!" Kyle and I turned our heads in shock as Blanket stood there with a disgusted look on his face.
Blanket ran down the hall shouting" grandma AJ and Kyle were! –" I put my hand over his mouth to muffle the sound and gently pushed him into my room. I whispered "be quiet; no one can know about this! Grandma will kick Kyle and I out of the house! Blanket, wewe can't say anything to anyone about Kyle and I kissing each other!" Blanket looked at me with a mischievous look on his face and alisema "that depends; what are wewe going to give me to keep my mouth shut?" I rolled my eyes and asked "what do wewe want?" He alisema "$70!" I took out my wallet and passed him the money as I alisema "there; now don't say anything to anyone!" He alisema "wait; I'm not done yet! I want your Xbox 360 too." He smirked up at me and I hesitated "but that's mine!" He threatened "I guess I'll just have to tell grandma that I saw wewe and Kyle kissing!" I alisema as I started to unhook the Xbox from my flatscreen TV "fine; wewe can have it!" I placed the Xbox in his arms and he alisema as he left the room "it was nice doing business with you!" I shut my door and looked over at Kyle. He started laughing and I alisema "I can't believe that I just got hustled kwa a nine-year-old!"
July 11, 2011,
My grandmother was out grocery shopping and Carter was entertaining himself in the play room downstairs. Kyle and I were upstairs and were watching TV. During the commercial break, he suddenly picked me up and sat me on juu of the dresser. I asked "what are wewe doing?" He alisema "being spontaneous! Let's do it right here!" I whispered with a smile on my face "right now? My grandmother will be nyumbani any minute!" He alisema as his moyo began to race "there's enough time! Don't worry about it! We won't get caught!"
I couldn't resist him anymore as the temptation began to bother me. I pulled him close to me and alisema "I like this daredevil side of you!" I tried to keep as quiet as possible; only letting out small discrete moans every few minutes!
I could hear the front door shut in the distance and forced Kyle off of me. We walked downstairs and she asked "were wewe guys rearranging AJ's room? I thought I heard furniture moving around." I quickly alisema "oh yeah; Kyle was just helping me songesha the dresser to a different spot so there would be zaidi space in my room." She alisema "okay then" and walked off to the car to grab the groceries.
Kyle looked at me shocked and alisema "I can't believe wewe just lied to your grandmother!" I alisema "what was I supposed to say? ‘By the way grandma, Kyle and I just finished having sex in my room!' That would've gone over well!" Kyle and I walked back upstairs and I alisema "technically; I didn't lie! We did songesha the dresser around! Just not the way she thinks we did!" The two of us burst out laughing as I shut my bedroom door.
October 7, 2011,
After coming nyumbani after a long siku of unsuccessful house hunting with Kyle, we opened up the front door and I looked over to see three suitcases packed in the corner with some of Carter's toys. I asked "what's going on?" Grandma alisema "I told wewe that if I ever caught any funny business going on between wewe and Kyle, all three of wewe would be out the door!" Uncle Marlon was standing inayofuata to grandma and I alisema "the two of us didn't have sex grandma!" Uncle Marlon alisema "Don't Lie to Us AJ! I saw the empty condom box in your trashcan!"
My oppositional defiance disorder kicked in and I alisema "fine; if wewe want us out on the mitaani, mtaa then go ahead!" I picked Carter up and alisema "I wouldn't have done what I did if I didn't truly upendo Kyle!" Uncle Marlon alisema "you're 17 AJ; wewe don't even know what true upendo is!" I alisema "who are wewe to make that judgment? Just because wewe didn't fall and upendo at 17 years old; doesn't mean I can't!" Grandma alisema trying to defuse the situation "just leave AJ! wewe don't want Carter to witness all this fighting and screaming; do you?"
I stormed out of the house with Kyle behind me and Carter in my arms. We went out to the truck and I climbed into the front seat. Kyle looked at me as my face turned red with rage and alisema "it'll be okay babe!" I alisema "I don't know where the hell she expects us to go!" I picked up my phone and started going through my phone book. I came across aunt Latoya's number and pressed the call button.
She answered the phone kwa saying "hello." I responded "hi; Long story short, grandma kicked all three of us out of the house and we have nowhere to go. Can we stay at your house until we get back on our feet?" She alisema "of course wewe can stay with me; but what happened?" I alisema "it's a long story! I'll explain it to wewe when we get there." She alisema goodbye and I hung up the phone.
We knocked on the door to aunt Latoya's house and she alisema "come on in!" She gestured for us to sit on the kitanda and asked "what's really going on AJ?" I alisema "when grandma agreed to let Kyle stay at Havenhurst, she alisema that if she ever caught any sort of personal relationship between the two of us that she would kick us out." Aunt Latoya asked "so wewe and Kyle are in an intimate relationship?" I alisema "yes; it doesn't bother me that she kicked us out!" Kyle alisema "the reason that bugs us is because we think she knew a long time zamani about the two of us being in a relationship!" She asked "how do wewe think your grandmother knew?" I alisema as I blushed with embarrassment "one could say that I'm not the most quiet person in the world when it comes to that!" Kyle chuckled and alisema "trust me; she is right when she alisema that!"
Aunt Latoya asked "wait; one of your uncles wasn't there with her when she kicked wewe guys out; was there?" I alisema "yeah; but why does that matter?" She rolled her eyes and alisema "I guarantee wewe your uncles had something to do with this! They have so much power over your grandmother it's insane!"
She took Kyle, Carter, and I to her spare bedroom and alisema "you can stay for as long as wewe need!" Kyle and I hugged her as I alisema "thank wewe so much!" She alisema "you're welcome; it's no problem at all! I'm going to go call your grandmother to see if she's okay! I swear, sometimes I just want to shake my brothers so badly so they wake up and see what they're doing to this family!"
I helped Kyle put together the playpen for Carter to sleep in and within minutes, Carter had fallen asleep. Kyle and I lied down in kitanda inayofuata to each other and he asked "what do we do now?" I alisema "we're going to have to try extra hard to find a place of our own because I don't want to take advantage of my aunt for too long! Plus, I want to have a stable place that Carter can call his nyumbani and I can raise him there!!!"
