Background Info
(AKA Nightline), this song was written kwa Glen Ballard, Brie Howard, David Allen Faragher (1982) for Michael's Thriller album, but failed to make the final track listing.
"When I found out it wasn't going to be on there, I just said, I'll be on the inayofuata one," alisema Ballard in 1999. "And the truth is, I got on the inayofuata two, which cumulatively sold over 50 million. It turned out to be good karma. I feel that if Nite-Line had been on Thriller, I would never have written Man In The Mirror, which is an infinitely better song, and one of the best in my catalogue."
It was recorded as Nightline kwa the Pointer Sisters, for the original 1983 version of their album, Break Out (on the sekunde pressing Nightline was replaced kwa I'm So Excited B-side of the group's hit single, Automatic.
It was also recorde kwa Ellen Foley for her 1983 album, Another Breath and kwa Randy Crawford for her album of the same title in 1994.

The Lyrics
Calling on the Nite Line
Waking me up
Calling on the Nite Line
(Calling on the Nite Line)
Can't get enough
Calling on the Nite Line
(Calling on the Nite Line)
Whisper in my ear
Sending through the moto line
(Calling on the Nite Line)
What I'd like to hear
Every night about midnight
The call comes through
wewe turn it on the Nite Line
'Cause wewe know just what to do
And I'll be waiting
(I'll be waiting)
kwa the phone
(By the phone) Alone.
Calling on the Nite Line
Waking me up
(Call me, baby)
Calling on the Nite Line - Hee!
Can't get enough
(Call me, darling)
Calling on the Nite Line - Hee!
Whisper in my ear - Aow!
Sending through the moto line
What I'd like to hear
Make it person-to-person
Make it heart-to-heart
Darling, your communication
Is sending up sparks
I'll be waiting
(I'll be waiting)
kwa the phone
(By the phone)
Why don't wewe give me a call?
(Calling on the Nite Line
Getting me up)
I wanna call
(Calling on the Nite Line
Can't get enough)
Why don't wewe call me, baby? Hee!
Call me on the Nite Line!
(Call me, darling!)
Whisper in my ear
(Won't wewe call me, baby!) Hee!
Sending through the moto line
What I'd like to hear - Oo!
(Call me on the Nite Line)
(Call me on the Nite Line)
(Call me on the Nite Line)
(Call me on the Nite Line) Oo!
Calling on the Nite Line
Waking me up - Oh!
Calling on the Nite Line - Hee!
Can't get enough
(Call me, baby!)
Calling on the Nite Line
Whisper in my ear
Sending through the moto line
What I'd like to hear
Calling on the Nite Line
Getting me up - Oh!
Call me on the Nite Line - Hee!
Can't get enough
(Call me, baby!)
Calling on the Nite Line

Sending through the moto line
What I'd like to hear
(Repeat and fade out)

" Oh Michael! It's so beautiful."
He smiled. " So, will wewe marry me?"
I looked at the ring. It was a 250 carat dhahabu ring with diamond crusted all around it. " Fancy" was engraved on the ring. It was so magical. I looked into his eyes and alisema " Yes."
Michael looked up at me. " Say what now?"
I nodded rapidly. " Yes Michael! Yes!"
Everyone cheered except Joe. " What?!?! Michael can't be marrying that girl!" Joe screamed.
Michael frowned. " Joseph, I upendo Fancy. She is my life. And if wewe can't except that, then you're not invited to the wedding!
I felt a tear gently slide down my face. Everyone was feeling sorry for me. " See, now wewe have Fancy crying!" LaToya scolded. Fancy, Janet and LaToya went to the wedding kanzu, gown duka to duka for gowns and dresses.
Do wewe agree with Fancy's decision. If so/not, maoni below!!! I'd upendo to hear your comments!
