On MAY 31st 2008 hundreds of MCR mashabiki stood up for the band, The Sun Times a British tabloid had falsely printed that their muziki made someone commit suicide. On MAY 31s these mashabiki joined together in protest of their bands' persecution. Friends, our band is persecuted no zaidi but I think it's time we paid them all a proper tribute.
In the video Kids from Yesterday they thank us but I think they have it backwards. It is us who need to thank them. On MAY 31st 2012 we will let them know how much we care! Gerard and the rest of the band have alisema some amazing life-supporting nukuu and I ask wewe fellow mashabiki and killjoys to help me spread the word. Print out those nukuu on brightly colored killjoy paper. Hang them in the bathroom, paste them on lockers. Write them on your arms, on the chalkboards in the Starbucks. Tack them to the walls at the office. Post them on your Facebook's tumblrs twitters and every place wewe can.
THIS mwaka MAY 31ST WE WILL SAY THANK YOU! It will not be done kwa showering the band with upendo but rather kwa posting their nukuu and fulfilling their mission of saving peoples' lives. I ask wewe now Marafiki are wewe with me?
