Diamond Tiara is a great character so you haters better leave her alone!!!! She may be rude, but the other villains on the show are way more cruel. Plus Diamond Tiara is adorable, cool, and funny!!! I love her more than all of the main ponies. She's my 4th favorite MLP character. My top 3 are Mr. Cake, Snails, and Snips!!!

Absolutely not!

Honestly, no. She crossed the line when she bullied Scootaloo by reminding her she can't fly (You do NOT use disabilities to bully someone. That is most definitely not okay at all.) I'm fine with people liking her character, though, just if you give good enough reasons. (Like, why specifically do you like her? You said other villains were "way more cruel". If that's the case, which ones?)
If you can like how cruel her character is, with how the company made her so cruel beyond belief, that makes sense. (For example, some characters can be good, but you're supposed to hate them because that was how they were written. They were written to be hated.)

I agree with Sapling wholeheartedly. Couldn't have said it better myself. I was kinda neutral toward Diamond Tiara until that point. I have faced many people like her, who kept tormenting me through most of my childhood because of my glasses and my bad eyes. So which is more cruel? To face your enemy in a direct confrontation or keep torturing her using physiological warfare? In a way, Diamond Tiara is more cold hearted than any other antagonist in the show.

- Nightmare Moon wanted revenge on her sister and basically wanted to be acknowledged by the public for her hard work on the night skies. That was her basic, subconscious motivation.

- Discord wanted eternal chaos, the element he dwells in. Even though his reign might have been terrible on the ponies, but he was basically a mischievous spirit it is in his nature to cause trouble. And nopony really got hurt, he simply altered reality to his liking.

- Queen Chrysalis wanted power through deceit and even though she was manipulative and used mind control, her basic motivation was to look after her kind so they'll have a place to feed on love and stuff.

- Tirek wanted total world domination through obtaining every last drop of magic, simple as that.

- Trixie is just misunderstood, I believe her whole personality is just an act due to some childhood trauma. she's just craving for attention.

So, what I'm trying to say is that every antagonist in the show had some kind of motivation for their actions, but what's Diamond Tiara's motivation? She's doing what she's doing for one reason and one reason only. TO MAKE OTHERS FEEL MISERABLE. Pure malice right there. She's just a spoiled brat who's there to be a domestic antagonist for the CMC. She was indeed written to be disliked. I don't judge those who still like her but the praising of refined cruelty and pure bad intentions needs to stop.
