2. FAMILIAR
I woke up what a strange dream I had. I was wondering aimlessly in the forest behind Charlie’s house. It was dark but not too much. Then it ended. I hadn’t ever had something like it before. Not that I could remember. I went into Alison’s room and she was sitting on her kitanda waiting for me. When I entered the room, she had a huge grin on her face.
“Mom guess what,” she alisema once she saw me. She was watching TV. “Talking Taylor has a toy” she giggled, “Can I have one.” She asked looking at me. Talking Taylor was a TV how that she loved so much it was the only one she watched that wasn’t animated. I couldn’t say no to her. There were Barbie’s besides I need to go to the mall anyway.
“Sure lets get wewe dressed first.” I alisema swooping her up and walked to the bathroom. I made he a big breakfast I knew it would be a while till lunch.
Driving to the mall was a Field trip in its own. It took 2 and ½ hours to get to Sequim Mall, I was listening to the news, and Alison was Sleeping on and off the whole ride. But I couldn’t help but think about that Audi. It was there I know it was I'm not crazy. There were a lot of cars on the road today but it wasn’t causing traffic.
I was looking for a nice spot to park. As I was looking I saw the car again, there were two extremely nice Cars, the inayofuata to each other. a Yellow GMC and the Black Audi, this was strange I parked a few cars away from them.
“Mom, I don’t want a Stroller. I'm a big girl.” Aly told me. I laughed, this was new. She wasn’t even wining.
“Alright no stroller, just stay kwa my side alright. I mean it.” I alisema holding her hand.
Aly’s toy was right there as soon as we got to KBToys. She stayed quiet while I Shopped around Macys. I was looking for something nice for both Nicole and Jacob’s congratulation present. I looked around for something to fit their nyumbani and their new Baby.
After 20 dakika of looking, I found the perfect thing. Pot. Jake’s always eating and Nicole wants to be a chef. This is what they needed. They had Nicole’s set from College. This was perfect.
Aly and I were thirsty. I went to a Soda and Candy Machine to get Aly a gumball and me a Diet Pepsi. I let go of her hand for two sekunde I was stopped. My moyo began to race. I small woman and a tall man were walking in front of us. But not just any one. Her jet-black pixie cut hair, and his longish blond hair had me gasping for air. I think I knew them. I wanted to know them. The machine scared me as the soda-can dropped loudly. I looked down to retrieve it.
Aly was gone.
I franticly began to call her name. “Aly, Aly. Where are you?” I looked around; there was nothing, I had her Talking Taylor. she was gone. My hart was pounding out of my chest my eyes instantly felled with tears. “Alison!” I called looking harder.
It was hard to see an Older Woman came to my side “Ms. are wewe alright.” She asked placing her hand on my shoulder.
I started not meeting her eyes “Alison my daughter she was just here.” I wiped my eyes. “I have to call Jacob” I quickly got my phone out of my mfuko wa fedha, mfuko and dialed his number. He could find her. He’ll be here in a few minutes.
“Is that her father? Well tell me what she looks like and I'll go to the Officers.” The old woman was still there.
I grimaced at her. “No he's not.” I alisema listening to every ring “ she's 5 she has long curly Auburn hair and light green she's wearing a baby blue sweater and jeans.” I told her closing my eyes. “I will find her with out your help.” I snarled at her.
“Hello,” Jake finally alisema after five rings, I heard him sit up from the squeaky kitanda in the living room.
“Jacob hurry Aly is gone I don’t know where she is she was her once sekunde and gone…” I stopped talking I saw her standing in the middle of the Candy story. the Clown was giving Free Jumbo pops.
“Bella? What are wewe talking about Bella.” Jake said. I quickly rushed over to her.
“Mom what's wrong” Aly alisema as I bent down and squeezed her. I dropped the phone on the floor.
And looked at her in her eyes “Alison Renee swan don’t wewe ever do that again wewe could have been kidnapped au poisoned and I don’t know what I will do with out you.” She looked at me sadly.
“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, I just wanted some Candy.” She alisema hugging my neck. I quickly grabbed the phone.
“Never mind Jake I found her.” I breathed into the phone. I heard him sigh in relief also. I picked her up and walked back to the car.
I was watery eyed the whole way back. Aly didn't talk to me much. I think she was asleep but my mind was at a different time. It was so long zamani why was it coming back to hunt me now. The words I heard were clear. He didn't exist anymore. It was my mind playing tricks on me. I had to understand that. Accept the concept. I had to look; I had to see if my dreams were a reality once.
I drove up and down the same road following every bend and turn. I was ready to give up. Go nyumbani and eat. There was a pain in my chest. I haven’t felt this way in years. I leaned into the steeringweal looking hared hoping I'll see something. Anything to tell me I wasn’t dreaming.
