What do wewe think ever happened to the white mbwa mwitu from "Heart Is a Lonely Hunter?"

I always wondered why after that episode, we never see it again. I know Graham died in that episode but I'd kinda like to know what happened to the wolf. Did it go back in the wild au something? He was obviously a special mbwa mwitu though. Old friend of Red Riding Hood's?
