I wasn’t expecting a call because he thought I would leave him and go back to the US. Nope, he called that night and we talked for hours. We shared laughs, thoughts, and everything else. We would try to cook simple things like, popcorn for a movie and BURN it till the house filled with smoke and we just held each other splashing water at it. We did survive, when Anne got home.
