But anyway, the only real problems that I can think of for Rachel is all of the Cooper drama, getting expelled from school, and everyone finding out about her surgery or whatever.

But Lucas lost Keith, had to grow up without a dad and struggle with Dan drama 24/7, had a rivalry with his brother in season 1, had a heart condition, the obvious BLP triangle drama, has been hospitalized twice, and had the risk of losing both his mom and his wife during their pregnancies. So yes, I'd say Lucas not only had more problems, but his problems were also more serious than Rachel's.

All that operations, when they suspended her from school, drogs, prostitute and then Dan Scott's wife. What could be worse ?

As much as I love Rachel I think atleast half of her problems were brought on by herself. Whereas Lucas grew up with a dad who wished he didnt exsist and then lost keith, his only father figure. He was also in a car crash, had HCM leading to a heart attack, almost lost peyton & his baby, etc all of which weren't his fault at all.

Exactly what Kelly said, although Rachel had a lot of problems, and I felt bad for her especially in seasons 5 and later...

1. Fat girl camp/therapy.. She never accepted who she was and didnt feel comfortable in her own skin

2. She turned to drugs and alchohol and sex... She treated herself poorly because she didnt respect herself.

3. The car accident plus Cooper drama... She was emotionally ruined and damaged.

4. Her parents neglected her... not giving her any guidelines or expectations.

5. She was expelled... yet again. She was very intelligent but couldnt deal properly with he drama.

6. She became a model, then turned to drugs, then a prostitute. She married Dan, using him for his wealth and not treating herself right, once again.

7. She divorced Dan and didnt get anything out of it.

8. She almost OD if Brooke and Owen hadnt helped her then stole from Brooke, her only true friend.
