Hello, everyone. Antonia here, and I decided to do a blog on maswali I'm frequently asked about being asexual. As I mentioned in the Introduction Blog, I am asexual. I first discovered that when I was fourteen. I was bullied in school because of it. If you're not sure what asexual is, this should educate you, (I hope). Here it goes.

1. Q: If you're asexual, does that mean wewe don't date?
A: No. All asexual means is that you're not sexually attracted to anyone. Romance is totally different. Some asexuals are aromantic, but some of them are romantic. Romantically speaking, I could go either way, but I prefer males.

2. Q: Are wewe an alien?
A: No, I am not an alien. If wewe want to see aliens, watch a sci-fi film.

3. Q: Since you're not dating someone, are wewe lonely?
A: No, I'm not lonely. I have friends. Friendship can be just as rewarding as romance, if not more. Honestly, the only reason I haven't dated is I'm afraid of getting hurt. I've had good Marafiki who have been hurt in romance, and I know it could very easily happen to me.

4. Q: How do wewe know you're asexual?
A: wewe just know. That's really difficult to answer. There are different types of asexuals out there, and in the end, wewe know how wewe feel. Don't listen to anyone who tells wewe otherwise.

5. Q: Do wewe think you'll change your mind when the "right person" comes along?
A: No, I won't change my mind. Asexuality is a sexual orientation, not a choice. Besides, the "right person" would understand my needs and desires.

6. Q: If you're asexual, does that mean you're repulsed kwa sex/the idea of it?
A: No. Sexual orientation and sexual desire are actually two different things. I am repulsed kwa the idea of sex, but I don't reject it entirely.

7. Q: Are wewe asexual for religious purposes?
A: No, I'm not even religious. I'm spiritual, though. Asexuality is not celibacy. Celibacy is a choice. Asexuality is not a choice.

8. Q: What is the worst part about being asexual?
A: Probably the ridicule I've faced for it.

9. Q: What is the best part about being asexual?
A: I'm not sure. I guess the fact that it makes wewe an individual.

10. Q: Does it annoy wewe when people misconstrue your being asexual?
A: Yes.

I hope wewe enjoyed this blog. There are zaidi blogs to come.

Peace and love,
-Antonia

The inayofuata day, Leah and Shaun went to visit Emily. Emily alisema to Leah, "Shaun told me what happened yesterday. Are wewe okay?" Leah said, "Yeah, I'm fine." Emily said, "You look awful." Leah said, "Don't worry; it's not as bad as it looks." Emily said, "Oh, this is all my fault. If I had never dated Ralph, I..." Leah interrupted. "No, Emily. It's not your fault. It's mine." Emily asked, "What do wewe mean?" Leah said, "I was dumb enough to confront him." Shaun said, "It wasn't either of you. It was Ralph's fault." Emily said, "Yeah, it was Ralph's fault. He manipulated us." Leah said, "I think...

One day, when Leah and Shaun were having lunch with Ralph, Leah alisema to Ralph, "I know Emily has been really sick through the weekend. I tried to call her this morning, but I couldn't get an answer. Have wewe heard from her?" Ralph said, "I haven't talked to her since Friday when she first got sick." Shaun said, "Wait a minute. wewe say wewe care about her so much, but you've only talked to her once since she's been sick?! What kind of a boyfriend are you?!" Leah said, "Shaun, calm down." The kengele rang, and Leah took Shaun kwa the hand before he could try to beat Ralph up. Leah didn't have feelings...

After lunch that day, Leah and Shaun's study hall teacher decided to take the class outside. It was unusually nice for November. Leah got out her iPod and put on some Beatles music. Shaun started humming along. Leah said, "You like the Beatles, too?" He said, "Like them? I upendo them!" She said, "I upendo them, too." He asked, "Who is your inayopendelewa Beatle?" She said, "I really like John. He's just so dreamy. He had that smile." She sighed and looked away dreamily. Shaun then said, "John was a cool guy." Leah then asked, "Is he your favorite?" Shaun said, "He runs a close second, but I like Paul...

The inayofuata siku at school, Leah was getting some of her textbooks out of her locker. Emily said, "Leah, I have some exciting news!" Leah asked, "What is it?" Emily said, "Ralph and I had our first kiss last night!" Leah said, "I know. I saw from my bedroom window." Emily said, "Oh, I didn't think anyone was watching." Leah said, "Don't worry about it." She was holding back tears. Emily said, "I'm sorry if I offended you, Leah." Leah said, "No, really, it's all right!" Emily said, "If wewe say so." Ralph then came and said, "Hi, Emily. Are wewe ready to go to class?" Emily said, "Yeah." He then said,...

Leah was initially happy for Emily and Ralph in some ways. At the same time, Leah felt a deep hurt. Emily and Ralph didn't do anything wrong. Leah knew that, but she loved Ralph. The fact that he didn't upendo her back hurt her very much. Still, she knew that getting revenge on him and Emily was petty. One day, Emily alisema to Leah, "Guess what!" Leah said, "What?" Emily said, "Ralph asked me to the homecoming dance. How great is that?!" Leah said, "That's great." She then looked away. Emily asked, "Are wewe okay?" Leah said, "Yeah, I'm fine." Emily asked, "Are wewe sure?" Leah said, "Yeah. I just...

Leah and Emily were friends. They first met in the sekunde grade and had been Marafiki ever since. They were opposites of each other. Emily was bubbly and loved being the center of attention. She was also very kind, if a bit slow-witted. Leah was quick-witted and preferred keeping her nose in a book. She was incredibly loyal, if a bit shy. Nevertheless, Leah and Emily enjoyed each other's company. When they reached their teenage years, they began to notice boys, as most girls do. One day, they met a handsome boy named Ralph. Ralph was very friendly and highly intelligent. He was also very charming....

1. People assume you're depressed, especially if wewe listen to grunge au heavy metal.
I don't listen to heavy metal that much, but I do listen to grunge quite a bit. One of my schoolmates actually blamed my self-harm on the fact that I listen to grunge. I told her that I did...

"What brings wewe all the way to Massachusetts?" Stan asked. Grace said, "Well, I've actually been touring colleges that offer music, and I was thinking that I'd like to be in one of the New England states." John said, "To each is own, but I have to ask. As time passed since Shadow's passing, Janis got something she had been waiting for, the results from Shadow and Juneau's DNA tests. The test kits arrived when everything was still all right. She didn't order one for Stevie, because Stevie's original owner had papers to prove she was a Staffordshire ng'ombe Terrier. He had to give her up, because he was moving to a place that didn't allow dogs. Again, that's another story. Where Shadow and Juneau were both rescues, Janis wasn't sure if they were purebred dogs. She read the results, and she learned that Shadow was a purebred Rottweiler. She also...
