IMO, Popplio should be an ice type. Maybe because it looks like a sea lion. Idk.

We already have Water/Ice and Water/Ground, we need a new combination. Plus in the trailer it showed Popplio using a Fairy type move and having high defense, which Fairy types have. Frankly there is no doubt in my mind they'll be this. There are hardly any Fairy types yet, they need to introduce more. The theme that these starters clearly have is the circus. So Popplio is based off a clown and they will most likely stay a clown through their evolution. So I highly doubt they'll give him tusks, which for one seals don't have and two they won't copy another Pokemon design.
