I remember visiting this website once...
It was called 10 Reasons Pretty Little Liars is the Best Show. Period. End of Story.
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Pretty Little Liars: It’s not just a TV show, it’s a lifestyle.
Viewing parties are hosted, reaction videos are made, A-themed food is eaten – all for the love of the gAme. This show has given us five of the best seasons of television, and plans for two more seasons are in the works. Some of our favorite characters have bitten the dust, some of our favorite couples have broken up and reunited, and Big A’s identity has remained a secret since the beginning. All the while PLL continues to be one of the best shows on TV!
Don’t believe me? Check out these 10 reasons why PLL is the best show. Period. End of story:
1.) There isn’t a show on television that keeps you guessing and wanting more than Pretty Little Liars. One minute, Mona Vanderwaal is revealing herself as “A,” and the next, she’s no longer in charge of the gAme! Now everyone in Rosewood is walking around in black hoodies.
2.) Troian, Ashley, Shay, Lucy and Sasha. Honestly, there is not a more perfect group of actresses to play our favorite Liars. Each of these girls brings an extra something to their character that no one else could. Ladies, thank you for making our beloved show the phenomenon it is today.
3.) This show gives its characters some of the best lines ever: “That’s a very pretty dress, but you should know it gives you back fat.” Caleb, you nailed that one. And don’t even get me started on Spencer Hastings. You know what they say about hope…
4.) Scientists say that television is bad for you, it destroys brain cells, blah blah blah. Apparently, these scientists have never watched
Pretty Little Liars! This is one show that keeps you on your toes for an entire hour. Seriously speaking, the Standard Model equation (the longest known to man) can be solved faster than the identity of “A.”
5.) The writers room is one of the best around. Producers and writers of
Pretty Little Liars actually listen to the fans of the show. Fans tweet questions, theories and what they’d like to see in the show, and the crew responds without revealing too much, of course. Not all shows actually have members of the cast and crew live-tweeting during new episodes!
6.) This show is always unpredictAble. You think you may know who “A” is or who is next on the chopping block, but you really don’t. Every citizen of Rosewood has motive and a means to be behind that black hoodie. Toby Cavanaugh, I’m looking at you.
7.) The feels. PLL writers know how to tug at our heart strings. One episode, your favorite couple is in love and the next episode, your ship is sinking (because your significant other is being a horrible cop and not telling you anything even though he got that job to help you and your friends in the first place! *exhale*). And don’t even get me started on deaths. RIP Mona Vanderwaal. I will never forget what happened to you. (But don’t worry, Marlene King; I forgive you.)
Pretty Little Liars knows how to raise (or freeze) your blood pressure. An entire episode is just like a roller coaster ride. The tension builds throughout, and then out of no where, “A” shows up and is pushing people off of bell towers or locking the Liars in a freezer. The Liars have also been on the other side of the gun pointing right at “A.” And just when you think the mask is coming off, the hooded-figure is leaping from building to building. If your heart isn’t beating out of your chest after an episode, you’re doing it wrong.
9.) Because of this scene. Shay Mitchell, you won me completely over with Emily’s words to her father in Season 1. Clearly, this is more than just a show; there’s a message behind it all, and I’m not talking about an “A” message. Emily Fields reveals her true self to her family and friends, and there is nothing but support. Everyone in Rosewood lies, but these girls are always there for each other, and nothing will come between them. They truly prove that there is no greater “ship” than the friendship.
10.) “Because I say it is. And I’m never wrong, bitches.” – A
Like I said, it’s a lifestyle. It’s a religion.
Pretty Little Liars is the best show ever? Let’s discuss in the comments!
So it’s a show? “It’s a lifestyle.” The Gilmore Girls may have said this, but it’s Jaymie’s motto. She drinks too much coffee and watches way too much TV. Pretty Little Liars is an obsession. All things considered, Jaymie loves quoting Spencer Hastings, writing and pie — but she doesn’t want to date pie. Follow her PLL obsessions at @AllThingsPLL.
