It was called ‘Prison Break’ Reunion 2016 — Is It Happening? - Mediamass
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Prison Break Reunion, the one we\'ve been wanting for 4 years?
Prison Break reunion had the internet in a frenzy on Saturday (April 18) as reports claimed that Fox confirmed a revival of the popular sitcom for 2016.
UPDATE 19/04/2015 : This story seems to be false. (read more)
Can you believe it\'s been 9 years since Prison Break first aired?! (9 years, 7 months, 21 days to be exact.)
When Prison Break came to an end after 4 years in May 2009, million viewers tuned in to say goodbye to Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller). And since then, they have been itching for a reunion.
Would a Prison Break reunion disappoint people?
Prison Break aired from 2005-2009 and is considered one of the most influential TV shows ever on pop culture. Although no original episodes have been shot since, it has remained a regular feature on many station\'s schedules. But Purcell said he\'s not sure if Prison Break would work today. “I don\'t want to see old Lincoln Burrows,” he told a journalist (Purcell turned 45 in February). “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what the character is like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people,” he added.
In a recent interview, Peter Stormare (who played John Abruzzi) said he can\'t imagine a Prison Break reunion hitting the big screen. “I\'d rather people go, ‘Oh, please! Please!’ than ‘I can\'t believe you did that. It was horrible.’”
Co-star Rockmond Dunbar (who played Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin) has also previously explained, “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good,”. “It was so terrific ... If we did a Prison Break movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”
On the subject of whether there could be a Prison Break film, Patricia Wettig stated : “I think it\'s a bit of a case of ‘the book is better than the movie’.”
Recasting Prison Break for a modern reboot. Hollywood is known for remaking remakes of films or tv series and the studios might think it would be great to bring the story back with a new set of characters.
Be it in the form of a Prison Break reunion, a Prison Break movie, or a Prison Break reboot, if you had to start filming today, who would you cast in what role?
