Italian GP has always been one of the highlights of Formula One Calendar and this past weekend just showed us why. This 9 decade old circuit is the fastest circuit of the Formula One calendar and being the home of the most successful F1 team, the fans are as passionate as it comes. Free Practice Session gave all the hints that, during the weekend it's going to boil down between three teams - McLaren, Red Bull & the crowd's favorite, Ferrari. Force India also showed good pace and stayed in the middle of pack through out the practice session leading upto the weekend. FP1 saw the test driver Paul di Resta driving it home at 12th position while Liuzzi finished 7th ahead of the two Ferraris. In FP2 & FP3, Adrain Sutil was back, behind the wheel of VJM03. He finished 11th & 10th ahead of Schumacher in Mercedes GP in both the sessions while Liuzzi did 12th & 17th in FP2 & FP3 respectively. As soon as Saturday arrived, all speculations were put to rest and soon everyone realized that it's going to be a two horse race on Sunday. Massa & Alonso took the top spots in Q1 followed by 2 McLarens of Hamilton & Button. Sutil finished 8th while Liuzzi retired into pits due to handling problems at 20th position ahead of Timo Glock, De Grassi, Seinna & Yamamotto. Others who couldn't make it through to Q2 were Trulli & Kovalainein who finished at no. 18th & 19th.
