Blackstar exited his pango and padded up to where the crowd was forming in the ShadowClan camp. He hated it when no one came for him. It's like the expect him to know everything.
"What is going on?" he asked. Ivytail-the nearest warrior-dipped her head before answering.
Toadfoot, Smokefoot, Dawnpelt, and Tigerheart were on patrol near the Twoleg house, Blackstar. They found a bunch of kittypets who claim they want to jiunge the Clan!"
Blackstar hissed under his breath. "We are no ThunderClan! Send those soft hearts to where they belong!" He pushed his way through his Cats to stand in front of the newcomers.
There were a lot of them. There was a dark tabby tom with fierce amber eyes and strong, prominent muscles. There were two mottled gray toms with blue eyes. One had light blue eyes, the other did not. There were two machungwa, chungwa tabby toms with amber eyes. There was a stone colored elderly tom with gray eyes, and his obvious mate-a gray tabby she-cat with blue eyes. There were three mottled black and gray she-cats with various eyes colors. And last of all there was a tortoiseshell she-cat with amber eyes and a noticeably ginger tail.
He glared at the mass. "There isn't enough room in ShadowClan for all these cats!" he cried in shock. "This could be a new Clan, for all we know!"
Russetfur padded forward. "None of them can stay, then, Blackstar? The dark tom over there looks like a promising fight." A fight was the last thing Blackstar wanted.
"No fighting! Get them out of my sight, to the ThunderClan border, where everyone is welcome." But before he could leave, the tortoiseshell she-cat stepped mbele and dipped her head.
"No!" she cried out. "Pardon my intrusion, Blackstar, but we have traveled far. My companions and I have heard much about the four Clans of wildcats around a lake, and what they're like. When we talked about this, we decided carefully. There was the wet RiverClan--by which a member all ready left us for. The open WindClan-another member joined this Clan. The openhearted ThunderClan-of which half our members are leaving for anyway. And the awesome ShadowClan. That's why I am here. Three of my companions and I are here to jiunge ShadowClan. We can't leave here for the too open ThunderClan, when there is a much better Clan right inayofuata door. It would feel...foolish." He could see that she had chosen her words carefully.
Stepping forward, Blackstar pressed his face into her's. "And your name is...?"
The she-cat lifted her head. "Molly," she alisema softly. She flicked her tail, and hesitantly, three others stepped forward. The two gray toms and the dark tabby tom. Blackstar eyed him closely. He did look like a promising fight.
"The gray tabbies are Rodger and Doug." She indicated them as she mentioned them. "And this is Raul," she flicked her tail at the dark tabby.
Blackstar nodded. "Just the four of you, then?"
They all nodded in a small manor. He looked up at the other cats. "And what of them?"
They are looking to go to ThunderClan, good sir. au to return to Twolegplace as kittypets once more."
Blackstar nodded, then said. "And who is the oldest in your group? You, I presume?"
Molly shook her head. "I'm afraid that Doug is the oldest, closely followed kwa Raul. Then Rodger, then me." Blackstar felt surprise flicker throughout his body.
"You're the youngest?"
She nodded. "I'm only seven moons, sir." Blackstar glared at her. He had assumed that she was a just a small cat. He could've never guessed as to her age.
"Fine," he said. "We will name wewe into our Clan."
"What!?" came the outrage of several warriors, including Toadfoot. The brown warrior stepped forward. "Blackstar, how can you? Don't we have enough warriors?"
Blackstar glared at Toadfoot. "Are wewe going to swali my judgement, Toadfoot?" That shut the young warrior up.
Blackstar clawed up onto the Speakbranch. "Today we honor our Clan kwa making it bigger. Doug, step forward. wewe will do some small training with Rowanclaw, but wewe will be named a warrior. From this moment forward, wewe shall be known as Hailfur." Hailfur dipped his head to Blackstar and backed up. The ShadowClan leader continued. "Raul, wewe will also train with Rowanclaw, and from this point forward, wewe shall be called Talonclaw." Talonclaw dipped his head and backed up, fierce loyalty and anger shining in his gaze.
"Rodger. From this moment forth, wewe shall be known as Spottedpaw. Owlclaw will be your mentor." The two touched noses and moved aside.
Blackstar continued. "Molly. From this moment forward, wewe shall be known as Gingerpaw. Crowfrost will be your mentor..."
