The mwaka 1939 proved to be a momentous time for mashabiki of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. The mwaka marked the debut of two sinema that featured the movie introduction of Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as the famous literary detective and his friend, Dr. John Watson.
