Shattered Heart

The Drunken Man
I am sitting in a small bar, drinking a virgin strawberry daiquiri, when a man stumbles towards me. He appears quite drunk, and he keeps calling out, “Marie, Marie!” I pretend not to notice, but it’s pretty obvious that his target is me. When he reaches my seat, he swallows me in a big kubeba hug. I hold my breath since he smells of beer, and think “Who is this man?” When he finally lets me go, he is still beaming at me, so I fake a smile and say, “Um, hi?”
He whacks me on the back with a huge grin. “Long time, no see, Marie! Ha-ha, I just rhymed!” he chuckles. “I see ya still don’t take the strong stuff, eh?” He chuckles again as he gulps down another beer. I squeak out a pitiful giggle. “Yeah, well, wewe know me,” I say, even though I have no idea who this crazy man is. I quickly think of an escape plan. “I was actually about to go, so…” “No, wait!” the man shouts, “Don’t go! wewe should stay so we can talk about the old times.” I stifle a frustrated scream. “No really, I must go,” I say again, but the man suddenly grips my arm. It is a strong grip that I cannot get out of. I mentally kick myself for not bringing my cell phone. And the people around here don’t look very trustworthy. But suddenly his death grip releases my arm, and he bursts into tears.

A Confession
“I’m sorry Marie, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean it, I swear,” he sobs. I’m seriously confused, and a little curious, so I sit down and prod him to tell me more. “Well, wewe went to Forestville High School, right?” I nod slowly, feeling a little wary. “And—and your boyfriend Evan Stephens disappeared and was declared dead, r-right?” My moyo stops. I feel sick. Only a person who went to Forestville would know that. “How—h-how did wewe know?”  The man appears very nervous. “He…isn’t dead.” My head is spinning. “I don’t believe you,” I say in a shaky voice.  He takes a deep breath. “Well, he seemed to have mysteriously disappeared, but really he ran off with...Kacela.” My moyo shatters to pieces. I literally see the world swirl black before me. Kacela…the girl who comforted me when Evan had “died” and alisema I would find happiness again someday. Kacela…who helped my pain slowly ease away. Kacela…my best friend. Liar. I manage to stammer out, “How can I trust you?” He looks down. “Because I am Evan.”

Running Away
I stop breathing. Literally. My chest tightens up, and I barely hear Evan say, “Are wewe okay? Marie?” And I think, “Yep, I’m ‘okay’. Never better. Like a girl isn’t completely heartbroken after she finds out her supposedly-dead-boyfriend-of-her-dreams is alive. Not to mention he was alive, living with her supposedly best friend, while she was shattered for nearly 10 years.”
And then, all that sadness turns to anger. I pick up the largest thing close to me and swing. And I don’t stop swinging until all I see is a bloody, bruised heap of flesh before me. Maybe it was a little harsh, but I had to let it all out. People are shouting and pointing at me, but I run out the door and leave my shattered moyo behind.

It was raining.
That's what I was told was happening when I was born.
Here I am now, alone without a mother and a distant father.
I often think he blames me for her death. I often cry when those thoughts come. My dad tells me we're moving to a city in Texas. Usually when people songesha somewhere new, it was like having a new life. Not to me. Here we are in a new house, new school and new friends. I feel so down as I sit in the cafeteria. I just want to let it all out in tears. But then a voice awoke me from my gloom. A sweet and gentle voice.
“May I sit with you?”
Were the words...

Emma sat up on her bed, kusoma her inayopendelewa book series, "Twilight". The class seemed to drag on longer than the others. Was it because the siku was finally coming to a close, au because I was waiting for his tight fist to loosen? It never did; he continued to sit so still it looked like he- She began in her head until her phone began to ring. Emma answered it. "Hello?" She said. "Emma?" The voice on the other line asked. "Yes, Sophie?" Emma laughed. "Whats up?"
"I need your help,"
"With what?" Emma turned to the inayofuata page.
"I need my medicine from the doctor. I have had.. er.. very bad heart...

*Inspired kwa the Haunted Mansion ride and movie, it's a short story au one-shot. But I'm thinking of adding more, please tell me your thoughts! Please don't copy and please read and review*
Somewhere in this world, around the 1800’s (1822 to be exact), is where it all started. A time when young ladies wore puffy dresses, and men had fancy pocket watches and a sour, wamekula mood. Yes, the perfect time, for the perfect story, au at least the beginning that is.
You see a story always has a beginning, and for this one my dear readers, it begins at Marratal’s Mansion. As usual,...

The constant pecking on the window awoke me. I opened my eyes to the darkness of the room. The dark haze enveloped any sign of light, leaving only traces of thin outlines. A tinged of excitement and fear passed through me. The ticking of the clock just added to the anxiety that was crawling over me. I knew it had come, like it had many nights before. It was then I noticed that the pecking I had heard before had stopped, only to be replaced kwa the howls of the winter winds. I sat up to see the binds swaying back and forth. Through the cracks I saw the shadow that had awaken me many nights before,...

No Ordinary Day

She was no ordinary babysitter. She would
growl and hiss. Bite and snap. I came nyumbani one siku to find her trying to devour my child. I ran to the child and out of the house. To the graveyard I ran. I don't know why, but I felt salama there. With little Lucy on my back, I walked around the graveyard only to find a suspicious grave, but it was no ordinary grave. There was a large hole right in front of it. I walked around curious to know what it...

Chapter 1: Ivan

“Get your ugly lug off my lawn!” A farmer shouted at a man who was trying to lead his kondoo off of the farmers property.
“I will count to three, if they not off, I'll turn 'em into pillows!” The farmer shouted holding up his shot gun.
The shepherd quickly had his kondoo away in an instant.
“Hey kid!” The farmer shouted.
“Yeah?” The shepherd asked nervously.

My eyes were glued to the pavement as I walked nyumbani from school. All I could feel were stinging tears falling from eyes and onto my cheeks, the rest of my body was numb. Everything around me felt small and useless. I felt a hand on my shoulder and turned around to be face to face with Ryan, my best friend. au at least he was until today. He stared confused at me offering nothing but his gray eyes that were bigger than saucers. "Jenna why'd wewe run off like that?" He started slowly trying to hide his fidgeting; he fidgeted when he was nervous. But I couldn't even look at him all I could do...
