I know I'm a few days late, but hey, better late than never xD. I could talk about the direct entirely, but there would be so much to talk about that I'm not sure if I could finish it.
Let's start off with Simon.
Castlevania was a big name back in the NES days, so it's cool to have that franchise represented in smash. He's interesting because he's the first fighter to fight with a whip. I know Zero Suit Samus has the Plasma Whip, but she only uses it in her Side special and up smash (and formerly up special and side smash). Simon uses it for his basic attacks. It looks like it'll give him longer range in return for some start up lag, and his whip can completely deplete weak projectiles it seems. Aside from his whip, he also uses other Castlevania weapons such as the Axe, Cross, and Holy Water. One thing I did notice that his movement is based on the Castlevania series. Overall, looks like a cool fighter and a pretty strong one, too.
Don't really have much to say about Richter. What I would say about him, I also alisema about Simon. I guess it's cool that there's 2 character representing the same third-party franchise. Makes wewe wonder if there's a possibility for other third-party Echo Fighters, like Shadow au Proto Man.

inayofuata is the Croc King himself, and my third inayopendelewa newcomer so far, behind Ridley and Inkling.
So it's been 10 years since we last saw him, and he looks glorious. He uses attack based on the boss fighters in the DKC series, which is awesome. He looks like a versatile fighter, too. He has 2 projectiles and a counter, and for (what I'm assuming) a heavyweight, he looks pretty fast. I think my inayopendelewa part is that he uses the Blast-o-Matic from DK64 as his final smash, but we don't just get to seem he firing it up. We actually see him using it to blast up DK Island. He seems like a very versatile and I'm very interested in trying him out when the game released. Side note, I'm loving that they're adding zaidi villains in this installment.

Finally, we have Chrom and Dark Samus, who are Echo Fighters of Roy and Samus respectively. There isn't really much I can talk about them since they're Echo Fighter, and especially since I don't play the characters they're based on. Not a huge moto Emblem fan, but Chrom was a maarufu request during SSB4, so I'm happy for him and his shabiki that he's finally in. Dark Samus looks awesome. She looks way zaidi alien than in Metroid Prime. I know Chrom have a different up special that Roy, but I wonder what Dark Samus's difference from Samus is, aside from visual.

Overall, in term of excitement, here's where I would rank the newcomers.

6th: Chrom/Dark Samus
5th: Daisy
4th: Simon/Richter
3rd: King K. Rool
2nd: Ridley
1st: Inkling

Of course I'm super happy for all the newcomers. We apparently have a few zaidi left. I'm so excited to see what this game have in store for us.

Do wewe agree/disagree with me? Who's your inayopendelewa newcomer thus far?
