1987's Superman 4: The Quest for Peace is often considered to be the worst Superman film and one of the worst superhero films of all time. I highly disagree.
It can't be denied that Superman 4 has the most awkward editing and special effects of the Superman films. While those elements are distracting, they don't ruin the film. It should be noted that Superman 4 is Christopher Reeve's passion project. He wanted to make a Superman film that had a positive message.
