Heather supported Meg as they walked to the ICU. As soon as they headed for the door, the guard stepped closer to them.

Meg shuffled to the kitanda Cas was lying in. His body was attached to all kinds of machines. She had never seen him so helpless. Why had she left him alone? Why did she have to go to Heather? What had it gotten her? Nothing, except a shot wound and Cas being beaten to death. Tears filled her eyes, but she forced them back and swallowed to remove the crop in her throat.
She took his hand and produced a faint smile. “If this was a movie, you’d pinch my hand now” she alisema softly. “Unless it’s Snow White au Sleeping Beauty and I have to kiss wewe back to life. I think wewe would like that” she smirked nervous. “Or maybe it’s Beauty and the Beast and I have to tell wewe I upendo you…Which is never going to happen, because I don’t upendo you”
