The lyrics are pretty spot on and it's such an awesome song- I never get tired of listening to it, only now every time I hear it I think of Supernatural!

I think it's perfect as a theme song, and I will always associate it with Supernatural too. :)) But of course, the song includes Sam, too, ;)))

Every time I hear this song, my mind wonders to the Fantastic Land of Supernatural. It has everything SPN needs - the lyrics and it's classic rock.

@67impala- of course it applies to Sam too! And John IMO. :) I only picked the Dean icon because it said "Carry On...". :) I couldn't find one with both of them that said it. (Random trivia: There are almost 50,000 icons on this spot! *jawdrops*) =O

No I really don't. I don't think of SPN as having a theme song. I think of it as having a soundtrack. While this song I connect to the show, it isn't the only one. Several AC/DC songs I associate with it too. I actually like Back in Black better.

As far as I'm concerned Carry On is most definitely SPN's song! Like people have said the lyrics just fit so well. I kinda think that maybe Kripke and Co wanted the fans to feel like this otherwise why would they have used it so often and in such important places?
