Is there any part of THG movie that wewe thought was done better than in the book?

For me, it would definitely be the exchange between Peeta and Katniss the night before the Games ( when Peeta says he doesn't want the Capitol to 'own' him ). In the book, I found Katniss' response to Peeta to be quite shocking. Essentially accusing him of thinking that he's better than everyone else and then storming off!! I Lost a fair bit of respect for her after that and didn't like her for quite awhile. It was typical, immature teenage behaviour from someone who, based on the awali chapters, I had come to believe was zaidi insightful and level-headed than a typical teenager. Later on; when she finally admits that initially she didn't understand what Peeta meant I was thinking 'so wewe bit the poor guy's head off just because wewe were too narrow-minded to comprehend what he was saying?'

Thankfully, the movie handles this exchange MUCH better, IMO. Katniss' response of not being able to afford to think like that is zaidi like the kind of response I would have expected from her.

I didn't get the impression that she thought he was better than everyone else either. I think you're exaggerating about her biting Peeta's head off too, he wasn't exactly sunshine and butterflies to her when she alisema she didn't understand him. Katniss really doesn't concern herself with anything that doesn't have to do with herself au her family, so I feel like it's part of her character growth that she's able to understand what Peeta means latter on. I hated that they made Katniss this serious, level-headed girl, it doesn't match Katniss' personality in the vitabu which I felt was zaidi realistic. What growth did they leave for her character to grow into?

I do get what you're saying even if I may not agree with it. I do have to ask though; why do wewe think Peeta was capable of having such insight and Katniss wasn't? Afterall, they have both been exposed to Capitol propaganda from siku one and yet Peeta wasn't prepared to just accept " this is how it is". Same goes for Gale.

Peeta didn't have to survive the way Katniss did. I think if Katniss' father hadn't died it would be a different story, but because he does die, she was left to take care of her family. That's the only thing she concerns herself with. The people who come up with rebellions and ideologies aren't the ones living siku kwa day, they're the ones who have a comfortable, stable life. Katniss turned into someone who only cared about what directly effects her, because that's who she needed to be to survive. Worrying about if the Capitol is right au wrong, if they can be defied will only cause her problems.
