So, why do wewe think "The Hunger Games" is compared to "Twilight" often?

I've seen a lot of people compare "Hunger Games" and "Twilight" all of the time, and never really got why. xD I mean, besides the ever growing fanbase...how are they comparable, exactly?

As of now, Harry Potter holds the most successful series (with 8 billion dollars). But seeing how well Hunger Games is doing so far, it might beat Potter xD

Plus, both Twilight and Hunger Games have the love-triangle thing going on. But unlike Twilight, it's only a subplot.

Well, people tend to compare maarufu book series (i.e. Harry Potter vs Twilight, LOTR vs Harry Potter, etc, etc). Personally, I don't do it. They are too different.

Because people tend to look for comparisons in vitabu and films which are maarufu at around the same time. The Hunger Games films began shortly after the Twilight films ended (I don't know if the timing was similar with the books' publication), so people think that TGH is becoming the new big thing after Twilight. Also, both have a female teenage narrator character, and 2 male secondary main characters who are paired with her.
