Hunger Games Swali

Other vitabu as addictive as The Hunger Games?

I've read The hunger Games and Catching Fire. I still need to buy a copy of Mockingjay and I will probably do that today au tomorrow, but what are other vitabu that will hook me as quickly as THG?

I've never really been a big reader. In fact, last mwaka I read one book.... and the mwaka before that, also just one which I had already read a few years prior. The Hunger Games is the only book/trilogy I have been unable to put down, while I sort of just force myself to finish other vitabu like Contact and Stranger In A Strange Land, being only semi-interested in them.

To give wewe some perspective, a book like Contact kwa Carl Sagan which I did like and read twice, took me about a mwezi to read cover to cover both times. I read the first two HG vitabu in just under a week... So yeah, I was kind of obsessed with them...

What are other vitabu that may hook me? Don't mention Twilight please. I've read some of the first book but just could not get into it...

Hunger Games Majibu

I feel you, Twilight just... doesn't do it for me.
If wewe haven't read Harry Potter, wewe might wanna try it now. It may seen a little childish at the beginning, I guess it depends on the person. But it's truly amazing.
And there's The Percy Jackson series. It's 5 books, and later there's another series related but it's not necessary to read. It's about a guy named Percy who learns the greek gods actually exist and Zeus the big guy thinks Percy has stolen his lightning bolt.
There's also The Divergent Trilogy, but the last book hasn't came out yet. The first two vitabu are just... fantastic. It has a theme like The Hunger Games (People are divided into districts, But here it depends on their personality.) It's about a girl names Beatrice that's turning 16 and has to choose whether stay in her own district with her family, au choose another one where she thinks she belongs.
It's gotten pretty long but all three are worth a try!

wewe have got to read The Mortal Instrumennts kwa Cassandra Clare. My friend had me read them. It's a 5-book series and the 6th comes out later. I finished the first 3 in a mwezi and they're 300-400 page books. I finishes THG in 3 weeks, the whole series. I think you'll really like it. ;)

I have a couple of vitabu wewe would like if wewe liked the Hunger Games: Divergent kwa Veronica Roth and Matched kwa Allie Condie. Those two book have series (but I assume wewe can tafuta that up yourself). They are similar to the Hunger Games and have a similar amount of romance in it. If wewe somehow like magic au mystical things, I recommend Jessica Sorensen. Almost all her vitabu are Wanyonya damu au magical (with quite a bit of romance) but it's not like Twilight at all. I promise. The Fallen nyota series (4 vitabu in the series) was absolutely amazing and wayyyy too addicting.

Hope I helped :)

The Divergent Trilogy
The Lorien Legacies
The Matched Trilogy
The Percy Jackson Series
The Kane Chronicles
The Host (Yes, I know it's kwa the same lady who wrote Twilight, but this book is a HUGE step up from Bella and Edward. Trust me, I read Twilight and didn't like it much either.)

The Divergent trilogy. (Only the first two vitabu are currently out, though). It's somewhat similar to THG, and will probably be the new HG in 2014, when the first movie comes out. (although I'm not sure I'm ready for that, because as soon as the movie comes out, everyone will stop talking about it and it'll start to get annoying. That's why I upendo THG, but at the same time, I hate it now).

anyways, Divergent is definitely worth reading!
Uglies and Matched are also similar to THG.

I personally found the "Across the Universe" series kwa Beth Revis to be INCREDIBLY addicting.

Also, if you're into Historical Fiction, the Bloody Jack series kwa LA Meyer is really good. They're set in like the 17 au 18 hundreds, and center around a girl who dresses as a boy, and turns pirate, and I'm crappy with descriptions, but they're really good.

Also, of course, Harry Potter, :-P

And then, if wewe like dystopian novels, I'm kusoma this really good one right now called "Rot & Ruin", kwa Jonathan Maberry, and it's about a post-apocalyptic world with zombies.

And then, the "Chemical Garden" vitabu kwa Laren DeStefano are also really good.

Also, the "Uglies" series, kwa Scott Westerfeld

And the "Generation Dead" series, kwa Dan Waters.

Also "Graceling" and its sequels, kwa Kristin Cashore

I could go on forever, but these are just some vitabu that I found VERY addicting, hope this helps!
