Mindi Chambers

Seventeen-year-old Mindi Chambers was last seen on October 19, 1982 in Tempe, Arizona walking her two step-sisters to school. When her step-sisters came home, she was missing and the front door was open.

A clerk at the Circle K convenience store last saw Mindi making a phone call. Afterwards, the clerk witnessed Mindi being pulled inside of a green & tan station wagon in the parking lot. Her disappearance wasn't reported until 1995.

Mindi's father, Allen served time in prison for assault and attempted rape. After his prison sentence, he took her back into his custody. 

Her mother, Mary drowned in her bathtub when Mindi was 2 years old. Although police suspected Allen of being responsible for Mary's death, he was never charged due to lack of evidence.

Three days before Mindi went missing, she told the police that she had been molested by Allen for the past five years. She was placed in the custody of her stepmother, who was in the process of divorcing Allen at the time. 

The investigation into Allen molesting Mindi was dropped shortly after her disappearance. He died in a car accident in 1994.

As of 2023, Mindi remains missing and foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
