Pamela Pedro

Seventeen-year-old Pamela Pedro was last seen in Atwater, California on the morning of September 13, 1982 after she was dropped off at Atwater High School. She was speaking to an unknown person on a pay phone in front of the school.

When Pamela's mom went to pick her up later that afternoon, Pamela was nowhere to be found. Her mom waited half an hour for Pamela and then asked the school to page her. When Pamela didn't respond to the page, her mom called Pamela's father. 

Pamela's disappearance was reported to the police, but they refused to accept a missing persons report until 24 hours had passed.

At the time of her disappearance, Pamela lived with her parents and younger brother. She was planning to graduate from high school early, was a classical pianist, has a black belt in karate and was also active in aerobics. Her dad died in 1986, and her mother later remarried and moved to Oregon.

As of 2023, Pamela remains missing.
