Danyel Sparpana

Three-year-old Danyel Sparpana was last seen at her home in West Sacramento, California on November 2, 1985. 

On November 5, 1985, her mom, Cynthia was found murdered in the house; she had been beaten and shot in the back of the head.

There were reported sightings of Danyel wandering around the neighborhood between the time Cynthia was murdered and the time her body was discovered.

A man named Lionel Tholmer Jr. (who was a family acquaintance) was named the prime suspect in Danyel's disappearance and Cynthia's murder. In 1987, he was convicted of murdering John B. Meadows, the stepfather of his ex-wife.

Tholmer was convicted of murdering Cynthia and Danyel in November of 1992. As of 2023, Danyel has not been located; foul play is supected in her case and it remains classified as a non-family abduction.
