Ashani Creighton

Four-year-old Ashani Creighton was last seen on March 21, 1997 in Orlando, Florida. 

Initially, she was abducted by her non-custodial grandparents, Ernest and Kaia Jackson. Ashani's mom sent her to visit them and they refused to return her. In August of 1998, Ernest and Kaia moved from Orlando to Tulsa, Oklahoma with their children.

In October of 2000, Kaia and Ernest were arrested for child abuse regarding their eight-year-old son in 1988. They skipped bail and fled; they were not caught until 2000. Their four children were found in Oklahoma at the time of their arrest, but Ashani was not with them.

Kaia was convicted of child abuse and sentenced to 35 years in prison. Ernest was acquitted on the child abuse charges, but in 2002, he was convicted of aggravated assault and child endangerment involving another kid in New Jersey in the '80s. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison and released in 2009.

As of 2023, Ashani has not been located. Investigators believe that she was murdered in Florida and her body was buried in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ernest and Kaia have not been charged in connection with Ashani's case although they are considered main suspects.
