Thirteen-year-old Gina Brooks was last seen on August 5, 1989 in Fredericktown, Missouri.

Disappearance
Gina came home from her brother's baseball game at 10:00 at night. A short time later, she said that she was going to ride on her bike, but she never came back. She was reported missing at 2:00 a.m.

Gina was last seen standing near her church when a car pulled up and the driver spoke to her. Gina got back on her bike, but later on, witnesses (including Gina's boyfriend) heard somebody screaming for help. Her bike was abandoned five blocks from her home later that night.

In 1998, three men were implicated in Gina's disappearance: Nathan "Danny" Williams, Bryant Squires (who was the driver of the station wagon) and Timothy R. Bellew.

Williams was charged with murder in Gina's case in 1999, but the charge was dropped in 2003. He is currently serving a life sentence in prison for forcible rape and sodomy.

Squires (who has since died of cancer and complications from AIDS) allegedly made a deathbed statement to nurses implicating himself and Williams in Gina's disappearance & murder, and other crimes as well.

Bellew initially lied to FBI agents, claiming that Gina's body was buried in an abandoned meat freezer on his father's 96-acre property, but extensive searches of the area turned up no sign of it. The murder charge against Bellew was dropped, but he was charged with lying to investigators about what happened to Gina's body; he pled guilty and was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

As of 2024, Gina has not been located and her case is still classified as a missing person.
