Eighteen-year-old Corrina Slusser was last seen on September 20, 2017 in Queens, New York.

Background
Corrina dropped out of high school in 2017 one class short of graduation. She lived with friends in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. She didn't get along with her mom, Sabina Tuorto and hoped to move in with her aunt in Massachusetts.

In the summer of 2017, Corrina met a man named Yhovanny Peguero, who told her that he could give her a place to stay in New York City. In July of that same year, she left Pennsylvania for New York, taking only her cell phone and ID. After arriving in New York, she contacted her friends and family on a near-daily basis. Although Corrina said that she was going well, after she went missing, her family discovered that she had been working as a prostitute; she was advertising on the internet in order to get clients.

On August 25, 2017, Corrina called 911 at 1:00 in the morning from the Harlem Vista Hotel in Manhattan, New York. She said that Yhovanny (whom she identified as her pimp) stole $300 from her; when she confronted Yhovanny, he grabbed her by the throat, choked her and slammed her against the wall. When the police arrived at the hotel, Corrina was visibly upset.

Yhovanny was arrested and charged with harassment, third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. A temporary order of protection was issued against him. When Corrina's family found about the assault, she downplayed the incident and told them that there was nothing to worry about.

Corrina's grandfather died in September of 2017. She agreed to go to his funeral in Florida; however, she called Sabina a day later, saying that her Social Security card and driver's license had been stolen, so she couldn't travel to the funeral by plane. She also wanted to return to Pennsylvania.

Sabina traveled to Florida for the funeral on September 19, 2017. Corrina was supposed to arrive home in Pennsylvania the next day, but Sabina was unable to contact her. Upon her return from Florida, she discovered that Corrina never made it to Pennsylvania and she called the police to report her missing.

Although Corrina's family last heard from her on September 20, 2017, Corrina was last seen in the early morning hours of September 20th, leaving the Haven Motel located in the Rego Park neighborhood of Queens, New York. Corrina used to be very active on social media, but she stopped posting after September 20th.

In November of 2018, a man named Ishi Colin Woney (who was one of Corrina's pimps) was charged with sex trafficking a woman (who is named Victim 1). According to prosecutors, Woney used coercion, force and fraud to force Victim 1 to engage in sexual acts for money, bringing her to various states (including New York). He also bought online advertisements promoting prostitution (some of which featured Corrina and Victim 1, offering a "two girl special").

Corrina exchanged over 800 text messages with Woney between September 10 and September 20, 2017. They reportedly had an argument on September 20th because Victim 1 was upset about his relationship with Corrina. Woney said he would take Corrina to another hotel and give her to another man. Afterwards, Corrina was never seen again.

Woney reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in May of 2019, pleading guilty to four of the five charges against him; he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Corrina's case is still classified as an endangered missing person.
