OK I am contemplating 2 options right now as to what to do.

1)just give up on my sims 2 and buy the sim3

2) i have never been big on getting expansion packs so i might go out and buy used ones.

what should i do.

are there things that wewe could do in the sims 2 that wewe can't do in the sim3? how about items that wewe miss. etc.

i don't particularly care about the customization of the sims and furniture. That is cool but it is not convincing me to buy.

as well, i am going to be playing on a mid range laptop. and i am just fitting into the requirements. so anyone playing on a laptop how is that going?

Just look at it this way, wewe could buy the Sims 3 and eventually grow tired of it, au wewe could buy two ExPacks for The Sims 2 for the same amount of money and stay entertained for longer. Just an idea. The Sims 3 is overpriced in my opinion.
