FloraorStella Hmm... I'm sorry, can I shoot straight with you for a minute? Yes, Musa did lose her tomboy skills and started acting feminine, but nothing bad happened to her hair. In season 5, it goes up again. The creators just decided to make Musa more flashy and girlish because it's a kids show for crying out loud. Kids prefer girlish ladies and that's what they did. I didn't like it either, but well, it's what the creators did. Flora's outfit does not get ugly. To me, it looked animal-printed and I love dresses like that. I still do a high ponytail, so does that make me ugly? Flora looks fine to me. In fact, when she did that high ponytail thing, I thought she [i]actually[/i] looked beautiful. Otherwise, no. Stella by no means got serious. She still made me laugh. When Musa turned all sad, Stella made me laugh and my favorite Winx is Musa, so duh I'll be sad for her, but I laughed instead. Roxy isn't an attention hog. Yeah, she was most focused on, but at least she had a story! I noticed her wings are bigger, and it's not because she skipped the transformations to get to Believix. It's because she's an earth fairy. Bloom's Enchantix isn't a bad thing about Winx Club. I agree, the way she got her Enchantix was dumb, but she couldn't rescue Daphne at all. Daphne is a spirit, remember? She can't rescue her from her spirit being either, since Daphne was cursed. Yeah, I agree with your point on Believix. I hated that one. But it helped them a lot. It was important and it is serious because it made humans believe in magic. Enchantix never made them look like sluts. In fact, it's my favorite transformation and the most fairy-like one. Magic Winx looks like a cheerleader's outfit to me, to tell the truth. Alright, the last thing I want to say is that's your opinion, but some of these reasons offend some of us flat-out. No offense, but you offened me when you talked about Musa. So that's it. Nice article though.

lovebaltor ^ I agree. 1. Yeah, Musa became more feminine and that annoys me, but using "swag" in your argument just totally ruins it for me. I'm out. *flings self off building like Sherlock--okay bad joke* 2. I'll admit Flora isn't one of my favorite characters, but I would [i]never[/i] call any of the Winx "ugly". I find even Bloom cute/pretty at times. Flora's look in season five is alright. Her hair is honestly not as bad as Bloom's. (Her hair straight and parted like that is just no) 3. Stella gets serious? No she doesn't. In season four she still was the one who started a comic scene. In season five it happened as well, and though they were a bit annoying, they were still there. I don't think she became serious, I think she became more mature, which is something I like, considering how most of the peope who dislike her character tend to find her immature and childish. 4. Okay...? Let me see, who was the focus of seasons 1, 2 and 3? Oh yeah, Bloom. Who was the focus of [i]both[/i] movies? Oh yeah, [b]Bloom.[/b] Are you going to start hating Layla now because her family was what predominantly made up the plot for season five? Hell, even some of Bloom had to be shoved into the newest season! The actual plot was constantly shoved aside so we could ensue some drama between Bloom and Daphne. Hasn't she had [i]enough[/i] attention? For the Believix thing, we don't know if Roxy is in Believix. All the other Earth fairies have big wings, and since Morgana's her mother, of course she was going to inherit those large wings when she finally transformed. And she never got any of the add-ons that the Winx did. (AKA: Lovix, Sophix and all the different wings) 6. It's not as "serious" as the other transformations? So, making up a whole transformation to swim underwater better is more "serious" than something that helps the Winx and Earth fairies grow stronger? (While weakening the Wizards) 7. They do [b]not[/b] dress like sluts. Have you ever seen actual depictions of fairies in folklore? They tend to wear dresses and skirts and reveal skin. Don't believe me? zanhar1 Guess I'll respond too, might as well. But before I start, I don't intend any offense, just want to state my reasons for agreeing or disagreeing; 1. I agree and disagree with this. I do think Musa lost a lot of what made her Musa. I totally agree that she got way too girly in seasons 5 and 6. But so did all the other girls. And [i]that's[/i] what I don't like. I'm kind of glad she lost [i]some[/i] of the swag as I really hate swag, it's super annoying to me--mostly due in part to how people at my old school used to portray it. As for her hair, I did like it much better shorter, but I don't think it looks ugly long either. 2. Okay, I've always thought Flora was just kind of plain looking. Not ugly but not pretty. I don't have a problem with you stating your opinion but the problem lies in the fact that you our right said she looked ugly and like an 8 year old girl--because of her hairstyle. Keep in mind some of us may actually wear our hair like that, and it not only insults the character, but anyone with that hairstyle as well. 3. I think Stella still has a fair amount of humor. I do miss her old accent, but I hate the Nick dub in general. But back to the point; Stella still provides a good chunk of the comic relief for the show. But honestly, I think most of the jokes in the Nick dub are really cheesy. 4. What is with all the Roxy hate? She's the attention hog? That's totally Bloom's job; that woman has been hogging the spotlight 4 seasons straight--Roxy was a breath of fresh air. So glad she got the spotlight for a change. Unfortunately for us all Bloom stole the spotlight back in seasons 5 and 6. I don't see why wing size is such an issue. 99% sure Blooms wings were almost always bigger and more glittery that everyone else and no one complained then. Well the Earth fairy thing is pretty much the entire plot of season 4, it makes sense to me that the show would focus on that a bit. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Roxy probably did start off where the others did. Just because we didn't see it doesn't mean she didn't work her way up. Perhaps as the Winx fought the Trix in season 1, Roxy was earning her charmix. If I recall right, Bloom was the one who pulled 'the train who could' and practically skipped earning her enchantix. 5. Bloom always gets off way to easily. Comes with being a Mary-Sue. 6. I'm not a big fan of believe myself, but I do believe it had some degree of seriousness. I would say it looks like a disco party, these are typical disco outfits; http://img.costumecraze.com/images/vendors/forum/61767-large.jpg I mean I really don't care for this transformation, but others may. Please be careful how you word things. 7. There is only one outfit in Winx that came off as slutty to me, and that was the Trix's disenchantix (and that probably happened because Valtor wanted a peek). Sluts is a very derogatory term, and I don't believe that your use of it is particularly correct. A slut is a woman who goes around trying to get in on with a bunch of men. The winx aren't sluts and they don't use their clothing for seduction either. I also don't believe woman have to wear skirts down to their knees in order to not be seen as a slut. My opinion; as long as you cover up what needs to be covered up (with more than just panties alone) you're not dressing like a slut. And as lovebaltor mentioned I've come across so many images of fairies in folklore depicting them without having [i]any[/i] cloths on at all. All and all my advice to you, is just be really careful how you word things. You have the right to speak your mind and I respect your opinions. But keep in mind other's have the right to voice their opinions right on back.
