It was a filthy little room.The flooring was old,filthy wood.She had a small cracked mirror,a small desk,nightstand,and a old filthy closet.

She gets up from her bed,and quickly get dressed. BANG!BANG!BANG!Her doors erupts to life again.Roxy rolls her eyes."How is it?"she asks annoyed."Dont wewe dare take that tone with me missy!Or youll be thrown out into the street!"hisses her 'mother'."Sorry Mam"Roxy majibu formaly."Thats better,now hurry up and get down!We're going to the Zoo for Ashlan's birthday"Roxy almost gagged,but held it back."Oh joy..."she mumbled under her breath.

Roxy runs down as fast as she could down the stairs and in the jikoni where Artu was cowering under the jikoni table.Roxy's 'father' soon appears with a ukanda in his hand.He grabs Artu kwa his ear and Artu yelps,he raises the belt."NO!"screams Roxy just as her 'father raises the belt,hitting Roxy instead of Artu.Roxy screams as she could feel some warm substance go down her arm.

"Foolish girl!"hisses her 'mother'.Her 'father' soon walks over and smacks Roxy on the side of her head."Now come on and quickly fix yourself,Ashlan's Marafiki will be arriving soon.Roxy quickly nods,her eyes red,she runs as fast as she could up her room,holding Artu in her arms.

As soon as she enters her room,she closes the door,and drops Artu,soon collapsing into her bed,letting tears wash away what just happened.
