kwa the time it was 1989 Ludwig and Maria were the proud parents of two children. The seven-year-old Fabio and the five-year-old Bella. One siku Ludwig was having a snowball fight with his son when Maria came outside. ‘’Ludwig’’ she alisema ‘’You’ve got a call. It’s your mother’’ Ludwig was surprised calling someone abroad was expansive so he was sure that his mother got some very important news. He ran inside and answered the phone
‘’Hello Mutter’’ he said. ‘’Ludwig’’ his mother alisema on the other side of the line ‘’I’ve just received some great news. They will open the border. We can go to the east!’’ Ludwig couldn’t believe what he just heard. He has hoped for years that he could return to the east and now that siku has finally come. Ludwig ran upstairs and started to pack his suitcase. ‘’Ludwig what are wewe doing?’’ his wife asked curiously. “Honey” Ludwig alisema “Get the children and pack your suitcases. We’re going to Berlin.” Maria nodded and went down stairs as Ludwig continued packing his suitcase.
The last thing Ludwig packed was his most precious object. It was the paper maua, ua his brother gave to him. Ludwig had treasured the maua, ua for years, just like his brother who took his maua, ua into his grave. Ludwig closed his suitcase and remembered a promise from long zamani “It’ll take a long time before I can come back to the east. But once I can I’ll visit wewe again” Ludwig sighed and closed his eyes “Just a little longer Bruder.” He stood up and walked downstairs.
When everyone was ready to go the family ran to the airport and took the plane to Berlin. They travelled for hours, and arrived in Berlin in the late evening. Ludwig took a taxi to his mother’s house and gave the keys to his wife “I’m going to see Mutter at the wall.” he alisema “Will wewe wait here until we return?” Maria nodded as the children waved their father goodbye when he walked towards the Berlin wall.
After a few dakika Ludwig found his mother “How much longer?” he asked. “Just a few minutes.” his mother said. Ludwig and his mother waited full excitement for the great moment, and there it was. Around twelve O’clock the border opened as thousands of people climbed on the wall. Ludwig was one of them and cried tears of happiness when he reached the top. “Come, my dear. Let’s go to Gilbert.” His mother said. Ludwig climbed down and helped his mother.
Together they walked towards the cemetery. After five dakika of walking Ludwig and his mother arrived at the place. “Finally!” Ludwig said, he ran through the gate, and stood in front of his brother’s grave for the first time in thirty years “I missed wewe so much!” He knelt down and burst into tears. “Shall I leave wewe two alone?” his mother asked friendly. Ludwig nodded and his mother walked towards the people who were celebrating the fall of the Berlin wall.
“Bruder, I’ve never forgotten about you.” Ludwig alisema “I treasured your maua, ua and thought of wewe every single day. It took me a while, but now I’ve finally returned.” Ludwig wiped one of his tears away. “Oh Bruder. We’re finally together after all those years. Words can’t describe how happy I am.”
After a few dakika his mother returned “It feels good to be with him again doesn’t it?” she said. Ludwig nodded. “We are celebrating our freedom. Do wewe want to join?” “Yes.” Ludwig said, he stood up and alisema a few last words to his brother “Auf Wiedersehen Bruder, ich liebe dich.”
