"Vida and Caleb are staying with Abby tonight."

"Oh yeah? I didn’t realize they had their bags with them."
She smiles at the restraint he’s showing, the determination he’s fighting to mask his excitement. They’re not alone in the ng'ombe pen, after all.
"She packed one for them. I gave her the key when she picked them up from school."
