Now, I’m not saying I was scared au anything, but I couldn’t help but feel a chilling sensation when I saw the stone again, still glowing, but brighter than before. It was like some twisted sick foreboding object, something that, as beautiful as it was, I didn’t ever want to see au touch again. We all stared at it, trying not to get to memorized as before. We were at some deserted park Terry use to come when she was a child, but after a kid died her parents shunned her from the place.
How nice.
“Okay…so, what are we doing again?” Edith asked, eyeing the stone warily.
“Were studying it,” Alex said, eyeing the stone he held up in the air. “This has got to lead somewhere.”
“The swali is, just where is that?” Iris asked, squinting her eyes at the sun.
“You alisema the stone must kuunganisha some power, right?” I asked her.
Iris looked thoughtful, then shrugged. “I guess, but just how?”
“What if it’s a special stone…,” Stilere paused. “Like that ancient alien people’s stone.”
Alex’s eyes widened. “You are a genius!”
“Yeah! It could be!” Brooklyn alisema excitedly, beaming at the stone.
“But what can it do?” Zaria asked with pursed lips, staring at the stone. “Is it zaidi powerful than the book?”
Brooklyn shrugged. “I don’t think I want to find that out.”
“None of us do,” Abe spoke. “But we have to, if were stuck with that book for now, and trying to protect it from, wewe know, unwanted forces.”
Darren shuddered. “Don’t remind me, dude.”
Iris raised her eyebrows. “Why should we be scared of them, like that website said, we have the book, were way zaidi powerful. We just have to be careful, take slow steps.”
Alex frowned at her. “You were the one that agreed to study it.”
“Somewhere cloaked, not in a deserted park, easily where someone could come across.” Iris eyed the area.
Terry scowled. “Nobody’s been here for years.”
“Well, that could change in one second.” Iris shot back.
“Ladies please,” Abe put a soothing arm on Terry and gave Iris a look, which she ignored.
“All I’m saying is that it’s deserted, no one knows were here, a kid died here, mysteriously I bet. Who knows what ‘forces’ could be here! We should go.”
Alex glared at her. “Fine go ahead and go, but I am staying.”
“So am I,” Terry announced, and the others nodded au repeated it, except Stilere and I.
Iris looked a little hurt, but then she stubbornly turned around. “Fine!”
“Iris!” Alex yelled at her back, au her running back for that matter.
She didn’t stop.
I don’t know how I felt it, au how I knew something would go wrong in the inayofuata few minutes. But all I knew is one sekunde I was watching her running back and the inayofuata I chased after her and pushed her out of the way of the hurtling black thing I saw fly past us.
Maybe it was just instinct.
Paranormal instinct, I bet.

I will not be under your tyranny
Your cruel and oppressive force
Yes, maybe wewe should be my leader
But that doesn't mean I should follow wewe all the time
Do wewe know he's got wewe bound
Under ropes and chains of cruelty
Well, I don't wanna be a follower
If it means I have to be a killer
No, I'm not exactly kind-hearted
But that doesn't mean I have to kill, kill, kill
I don't wanna be just a senseless follower
I have a heart, I have a soul, so I don't follow you
I don't just wanna be a follower
So I don't give a fuck bout what wewe do, do, do
But I myself will not give in to the tyranny
So you'll watch me leave
No one's gonna stop me
Look, I'm walking out the doors of tyranny
And I'm not gonna be a senseless follower
Ever again in my life.
