I never thought I would be the family man. I would have been fine with just neices and nephews. Being just an uncle would have been fine, until I met Bella. Mason was the best son a man could ask for. He was smart, funny, and just a beautiful little boy. Then, this morning, Bella told me she was- could be- pregnant. I had never wanted my own child in my entire life until now. If Bella was not pregnant. . . I didn't even want to think about it.

I asked Alecs to help me clean up the jikoni from breakfast, and sent Mason and Bella into the living room.

"I would like to talk to wewe if that's alright?" I ran the water to wash the dishes and Alecs brought them to me.

"Sure." He nodded. "What's up?"

"Bella and I have decided to let wewe stay here. We both want wewe to have a firm, steady home, and we both think that living with us would be your best option. We don't want to make wewe pay anything but wewe will get a job, get your GED, and have a good life. wewe will be responsable for getting your clothing, and a car when wewe get the money." I was handing him dishes to dry.

"Bella told me your story." I went back to washing cutlery. "We both know Bella's story, and now I would like wewe to know mine. wewe know, wewe aren't the only one in this world who went through a hard time. And running away from problems, isn't an answer. But I think wewe have figured that out kwa now." I smiled lightly and he did too. "I was married once before. Her name was Sarah. We were married for 5 years and we found out she had brain cancer. The worst kind. Three months later she passed away. That was three years ago. I met Bella at the hospital, we bumped into eachother. Real orignal, I know.

"The first siku I took my wedding ring off, and decided to try, Bella litteraly walked into my life. Running away from problems solves nothing. As they say 'don't let the fear of striking out, keep wewe from playing the game'."

He was silent for a moment while we put up the last of the clean dishes and turned to me. He wrapped me in a hug and I did the same. All he needed was someone to care.

"Thank you." He pulled back.

"You're family, now." I told him.

Bella peeped her head around the corner. "Do wewe guys need any help?"

"No, we got it." Alecs told her.

"Okay." She smiled. "I have a doctors appointment at 3." Her eyes flickerd to mine. "They could fit me in today. Would wewe like to go?"

I nodded. "Alecs, could wewe keep Mason for a few hours?" he asked him.

"Yeah sure." Alecs nodded.

"Okay. Great." Bella smiled. "I'm going to go take a bath."

She walked up the stairs and I pulled out my laptop. I could hear Mason and Alecs talking in the living room. I pulled up my newly installed program and began working.

Bella POV

I showered and shaved and soaked after that. I needed time to relax. If this didn't turn out the way we were hoping I was going to be crushed. I was zaidi than 95 percent sure, but there was still that 5 percent.

After what I was sure was an hour, I stepped out and wrapped myself in a fluffy towel. I pulled on a white, frilly tanktop and some navy blue, cloth shorts.

I let my hair dry naturally so it had waves down to the middle of my back and put on some blush and mascara.

I walked down stairs and saw Edward sitting at the jikoni table, staring into the screen. "Hey."

He looked up and smiled. "Hi." He shut his lap juu before I could see the screen. "It's a surprise."

"Okay." I shook my head. "You should get a shower. I figured we could all go out to lunch later before my appointment. Mason and Alecs will have to kuoga as well."

"Sure thing." He kissed my nose and dissapeard upstairs. I walked over to his laptop and reached for the top.

"Momma."

I snatched my hand back. "Yeah?"

"Dad alisema we were going to eat."

"Yeah, after everyone else is ready to go. That means after wewe get a bath and tame your bedhead." I laughed and ran my hands through his wild blond hair.

"I hate taking baths." He groaned.

"Because wewe are a 6 mwaka old little boy." I smiled. "Come on, let's go ahead and pick out your clothes. Edward won't be long."

We walked up to his room and I picked out a blue polo, the same color of his eyes, and khaki shorts. Edward yelled that he was out and I gave Mason a bath, then dressed him.

"Alecs!" I yelled.

"Yeah?" He was climbing the stairs.

"Shower is free."

"Okay, cool. Thanks."

I set some of Edward's clothes outside the door. They were the same size, he could share for now.

Edward came back down the hall wearing a white shati and navy cargo shorts. I laughed allowed.
"Really?"

He looked up and smiled. "Twinkies."

I shook my head and brushed Mason's hair before it dried.

As we climbed into the car, I leaned over and quietly told Edward to go to Emmett's. He needed to know his only baby brother was here, and safe. And he would blow a gasket, so I needed to be there to keep the peace as much as possible.

When we pulled into their driveway, Mason shot out of the car like a rocket. Edward walked around the front of the Volvo and smiled at me when he took my hand.

Rosalie had Mason wrapped up in her arms for a hug. Rose and Emmett had wanted kids of their own, but Rose was unable to reproduce, so Emmett suggested adoption. He knew how confusing and hurtful it could be to lose a parent au one to walk out on you. They were on the orodha for a 0-2 mwaka old baby boy au girl. All they were waiting on was a phone call.

"Bella." She smiled and pulled me in with her only empty arm. "Edward." She pulled him in, too.
"And who's this?" She asked, guestering behind us.

"This, Rose, is my younger brother, Alecs."

Her mouth was forming a little "o", her bright blue eyes wide. "Oh, well, I'm just going to go. . .get. . ." And she dissapeard down the hall.

"You might want to sit down." Edward whispered to him.

I smiled warmly as Alecs sat down beside me.

"Edward! Bella!" Emmett's voice bellowed toward us. "Hey, what are wewe guys-" He stopped mid sentence and stride. "What the hell are wewe doing here?" His voice was low and angery at Alecs.

"Bella and Edward brought me here."

"How did wewe find Bella?"

"Phonebook. I needed her help." He stood. "I wanted to see her."

"Why? Why now? Why not 5 years zamani when Mason was a baby with colic, Bella was a senior in high school, and I was driving back and fourth 2 hours every morning and night so Dad could stay at work and Bella could do her freakingg homework?"

"Because I was stupid!" Alecs yelled back.

"Damn straight wewe were! wewe never, not once, did wewe stop to think about how we felt. we not only Lost your mom, but our real mom. We Lost 2! And wewe ran off, worried about no one but yourself!"
Emmett was stepping closer to Alecs.

Right up to eachother, Alecs and Emmett would look like twins. Both brawny, dark semi curly hair, dark eyes.

"Because I was stupid! I was 14 and just didn't give a shit! But I'm back because I remember how lucky I was to have an older brother and sister to help me, to watch me!"

"Maybe wewe should have thought about that sooner." Emmett growled.

"Okay." I stood up. It was time for me to butt in. "Can't wewe just be happy that he's here and not dead in a ditch somehere? He's not shot to death, and he didn't overdose. Not only is he alice, but he's safe." I backed up and placed a hand on Alecs's arm. "He's staying with us. He's going to get his GED, get a job, and start a life. And whether wewe want to be a part of that life of his is your choice."

Emmett's eyes were red and briming with unshed tears. I stepped aside and Emmett pulled Alecs into a kubeba hug.

"Well, Miss Swan, wewe are infact pregnant, though wewe are farther along than wewe thought. wewe are eight weeks. I know wewe alisema wewe had your menstrual cycle the first mwezi and that isn't unusual and it doesn't hurt the fetus. Now," Dr, Victoria looked up at me with her wild blue eyes and pushed her red curly hair out of her eyes. "Would wewe like to see your little one?"

Edward and I nodded silently.

"Okay. I want to see wewe back here inayofuata month, the 18th. See wewe two, later." She smiled and left the room, and before the door could close, a girl rolled in a cart.

"Hello." She smiled. She had big green eyes, and her blond hair was swept back into a ponytail. "Is this your first?"

"No."
"Yes." Edward and I spoke at the same time.
"His first. Not mine." I told her.

"Just as exciting thought right?"

"Very." I smiled.

"Alright. Let's take a look." I laid down so she could cover my stomach in a clear blue gell, the moved the wand over it. "And there," She pointed at the screen with her French tipped nail. "Is your baby." And a whooshing sound filled the room.

Our "baby" looked like a bean. Like peanut.
"He looks like a peanut." I whispered to Edward.

"What makes wewe think it's a 'he'?" He smiled down at me.

"Well, I don't." I shrugged. "I just needed to call it something besides it."

She printed us pictures, 6, and sent us home.
"Who are we going to tell first?" I asked, my hand running over my stomach as we walked to the Volvo.
"His big brother." Edward smiled down at me.
