Bella’s POV
I felt the blackness come over me. My lungs started hurting. I felt like I couldn’t breath. It was really hard. I felt the cold hands hold something over my mouth. I tried to scream, but the hands held something there to muffle my screams. Finally, I passed out. I didn’t know how long it was, but I felt the blackness and numbness going away.
Suddenly with a jolt, I woke up. I sat up straight and looked around. I didn’t know where I was. It was dark and the only window this room had, had planks on it. I could see through the cracks that it was dark outside. I didn’t know what time it was, where I was, au even if I’m dead. I couldn’t be dead. I was in pain. My head hurt and so did my lungs. I touched my forehead and found a small bump on it.
What happened to me? Now I was freaking out. I could tell I wasn’t around Edward anymore. I still had the clothes on from the party, because I felt the jeans and blue shirt. Suddenly, I saw a light coming from above me. I then could see the room. It looked like a basement. I was chained to a ukuta and in the corner.
I looked to the juu of the stairs and saw a figure standing in the doorway.
“Your finally awake, wewe puny little human,” the figured said.
I then realized it was the same person from the party.
“Who are you?” I asked.
“My name is Lorenzo. I’m one of your boyfriend’s old friends. Well, not Marafiki anymore. Not after he killed my girlfriend. Anyways since he decided to kill my girlfriend, I decided to kidnap his.” he alisema coming down the stairs. He stopped right in front of me.
“Are wewe going to kill me?” I asked suddenly scared.
“Oh, no. Not unless wewe want me to. But I will say, wewe will never see your perfect little boyfriend again.”
I felt the tears coming down my face as he alisema this. I could feel the depression I once had when Edward left me last year. I could not go through this again.
“He’ll find me, wewe know,” I said.
“I beg to differ. Your little friend Alice can’t see me. And if you’re with me, she won’t see wewe either. See, I’m half witch, half vampire, so that means she will never see me. That’s how I got away with this stunt in the first place,” Lorenzo said.
“Where are we?” I asked.
“I’m not telling wewe that.”
“Okay,” I alisema wiping away my tears.
“Now, listen to me, wewe fragile human,” he alisema grabbing my hair and pulling my head up to look at him. “You only get 2 meals a siku and 3 bathroom breaks. While wewe are on these breaks, I will be watching your every move. And don’t try to escape, because I can run faster than wewe and it will only make me hurt wewe worse.”
I got scared as he alisema these words. Only hurt me worse. As in, he’s still going to hurt me. Would I ever see my family again? Would I ever see my Marafiki again? And worse yet, would I ever see Edward again. We had a wedding in three weeks. I felt zaidi tears fall down my face as I thought about never seeing him again.
“Stop crying. Here,” he alisema throwing a tray of chakula at me. It slid on the floor and stopped in front of me. The light showed what it was. It was chicken and beans with a glass of water.
“Eat, and from now on, wewe will call me master. wewe got that?” he said.
“Yes, Master,” I alisema looking down at the food.
“Good. Now, be quiet and go to sleep. wewe get a bathroom break in the morning. If I hear one little peep come out of your mouth, you’re going to be wishing wewe weren’t even born,” he said.
“Yes, Master,” I alisema reaching for the food. I was actually hungry, so I decided to eat.
He took one last look at me and then I felt it come out of nowhere. He slapped me across my face. I felt the sting.
He then walked back up the stairs and slammed the door shut. I was crying my eyes out. I felt all alone and scared. I’m sure Edward was out of his wits searching for me right now. I didn’t even want to think about Charlie. Then I remembered something. I still had my phone in my bra. I was glad Alice suggested to put it there.
But the swali was, would I be able to be quiet enough to make 1 call. I decided to give it a try. I quietly pulled out my phone and turned it on. I’m so glad I kept it on quiet before I turned it off. I waited for it to load up. When it was finally done I scrolled through my contacts. I hit the call button and turned the volume down to the last notch. It rang one time when he picked up.
“Bella! Where are you? What happened?” Edward said.
“Ssh! He can probably still hear wewe and me. Listen, I don’t know where I am. All I remember is being suffocated. It’s dark here. I’m really scared Edward. He’s going to hurt me,” I alisema crying.
“It’s okay, Bella. We’re going to find you. I promise,” Edward said. I could hear the sadness in his voice.
“How long has it been since I was gone?” I asked. I was actually scared to ask, but I forced myself to ask anyways.
“It’s been 3 days. Bella, we’re going to find you. I promise,” Edward said.
“Edward, I upendo you,” I said.
“I know, Bella. I know. I upendo you, too,” Edward said.
“WHO ARE wewe TALKING TO DOWN THERE?” I heard Lorenzo say. The door suddenly flew open. “I thought I alisema to not hear a peep out of you.”
I was frozen with the phone stuck to my ear. Oh man. This was not going to be good. Lorenzo was down the stairs in a flash. He snatched the phone from me and answered it.
“Who is this?” he asked. He listened for a dakika and smiled. “Well, Edward. Now wewe can hear me beat your little girlfriend.”
I was now scared. Lorenzo put the phone down on the floor and leaned over me. He raised his hand and smacked me across my face again. Then he pulled off his ukanda and whipped it across my back. I screamed at the pain. He hit me for another 5 dakika with the belt. And the screams, pains, begs, and pleads continued until I blacked out.
