Chapter 1 Moving.


I sat on the hard blue rocks on the beach, I squished my toes into the sand. I never got bored coming down to the beach, pwani when the sun was shining and wewe could hear the birds singing. It was hard to think that this was my last siku on this beautiful beach, pwani i took a deep breath sucking in the salty air, my parents have came to a desicion to songesha to shine Island it was a beautiful island, wewe had to travel kwa boat. Shine Island was 23 miles away from New York. I guess the beach, pwani at the island would be preety but nothing was as breath taking as watching the sunset on the beach's sandy shore.
I got up and picked up my black sneakers and had a long last look at my beautiful beach, pwani and walked home.
I walked into my backyard the wet nyasi soft underneath my bare feet. I opened the glass door and dropped my dirty black sneakers on the wooden shoe rack. My mother was surprised to see me nyumbani "oh hujambo how was your your walk at the beach?" she asked eyeing my dirty jeans.
"it was okay" i replied in a sour, wamekula tone she didnt speak again noticing my mood. I walked down the hall and turned left to my bedroom there was 1 matress and some clothes lying on the floor. i picked up a pink singlet and striped pyjama shorts, i walked across the cold blue tiles and dumped my pyjama's on the floor. I wresteled out of my dirty blue jeans and my faded blue juu and jumped in the kuoga i let the cold water wash over me i was hoping the water would wash all of this moving buisness away,but it didn't. I grabbed the brown towel off the rack i dryed myself and pulled my pyjama's on i yanked my brown hair into a ponytail and walked out of the bathroom. "Indie-Lee!"my mother yelled "coming!" i yelled back my tone glum i walked out of the hallway and found my mother and my father leaning on the jikoni bench
there was a box of pizza infront of them."hey Indie"my dad smiled "hey" i alisema not returing the smile "here's dinner"my mother alisema passing me a blue ceremic plate with 2 hawian slices of pizza placed on it. I shook my head "im not hungry,im just tired" i told her grumpily my mother nodded her head and alisema "have a good sleep" i nodded my dad raised his eyebrows "you should eat" he demamded i shook my head "im not hungry" i alisema through my teeth i walked away and my parents were silent. I walked it to my room and flopped down on my matress tomorow i was leaving,leaving my beautiful beach! i was going to need my rest i closed my eyes and dreamt about my beach.My brown eyes flashed open i stood up ripping off my pyjamas and pulling on my blue skinny leg jeans and a nice black juu i ripped out the hairband letting my hair fall over my shoulders like a brown curtain. I rolled up the white matress and carried it out to my blue mazda 6 and grabbed the clothes on the floor my parents room was cleaned up and they were waiting for me i walked in my room i stared at it so many memory's i looked at it hard and long for the very last time i closed the door and walked out the glass front door and alisema good-bye to my old house. My mother placed her bony pale hand on my shoulder i shook her off and walked across the gray cement pavement to my blue mazda 6, i jumped in, my mothers face was suprised and shocked but a small noticable sadness on her face i started the egine a quite purr erupted then i drove off not looking back, fighting back my tears.
I was sad i looked at the shops and the overgrown yards and the small hall,i was going to miss this zaidi then i thought i would....
i was angry with my parents but i didn't like the hurt expression on my mother's face...it made me sad to think that i had hurt her but it was their fault for making me songesha but i shouldn't be too hard i guess. The harbour was an saa drive i grabbed a black c.d not bothering to check what it was i shoved it into the black c.d player, a light sound of viloins playing came through the large round speakers then a females voice came in i stared into the distance listening to the soft song. i parked on the dock were the cars were being boarded on the huge white ferry i got out of my car,my brown hair was whipping visiciosly in the cold wind, a man in a red kanzu, koti that looked in his 30's asked for my keys i nodded and walked to lean on the grey metal fence to wait for my parents. My father and my mother turned up in thier silver holden,commordore my mother jumped out and smiled i halfsmiled back and walked to them
"we get on at that entrance"my dad alisema pointing to a blue tin shed he walked along the grey cement pavement me and my mother folowed.
