Chapter 3


Everything is ready, Charlie thinks I'm going to see my grandma in Florida, and Jacob has told his dad the truth, how easy it is to be a werewolf and have no secrets for your dad. Were taking Jacob’s car as it would make it there quicker and we won’t have to worry about it breaking down, I run down the stairs with my little holdall and throw it into the boot of the car and turn to say bye to Charlie.
“Bye dad, I’ll call wewe soon” I yell into the house
“Wait Bella! Here’s some money to help wewe out. Have fun.”
“Dad, wewe don’t hav-“
“No Bella. I insist” he says as he kisses me on the cheek.
We climb in the car and set off.
The drive to the airport went quickly with small talk, but as we board the plane, we both know that we’re walking into the unknown.
“So...what’s the plan?” Jacob asks as the plane takes airborne.
“Erm... I don’t know. Just go and see hi-them” I reply as my moyo beats faster at the thought of seeing him.
“Bella! You’ve got to have a better idea about what were going to do. Do wewe even know where they live?”
“Erm...yeh I think, I have a rough idea. Stop having a go Jake. I never asked wewe to come, wewe wanted to” I reply. Getting wound up.
As the silence drags on the lights go out in the cabin, kibanda signalling the time.
“Bella, try and get some sleep” Jake whispers as his arm reaches round me and pulls my closer.
As I'm drifting off I can feel Jake leaning in and taking a deep breath.
“I'm sorry Bella, sorry for everything. Sorry for shouting, sorry for causing wewe to choose and even zaidi sorry for not being good enough for you, for not being him” and then he sighs and lays his head on mine,
Now I'm wide awake but pretend not to be. I wasn’t meant to hear that, but now I’ll never get to sleep.

As I wake up the plane is just landing, Jake is awake and is staring out of the window.
“hey,” I whisper leaning over to touch his arm.
He jumps and turns to look at me “Morning sleepy head” He majibu “Did wewe sleep well?”
“yeh, I think so. I can’t really remember much” I say

We walk awkwardly off the plane and through customs.
“Right then. What’s the plan?” Jake asks when we get into the hire car.
“Lets go to the hotel first and get sorted first” I answer worriedly thinking of what I am going to do. I haven’t thought this through at all. What if I can’t find them? What if I don’t know where they live? I've only got rough idea the address what happens if when I get there he doesn’t want me? and he has moved on , what if they have all moved on?
“BELLA! Bella are wewe ok?” Jacob asks worriedly. I hadn’t realised that I was clutching my chest and started sobbing”
“yeh I'm fine” I mumble wiping away the tears “ I'm sorry, I'm just nervous I guess...OH turn left here into the car park”

I don’t know how but I managed to check in to the hotel get into my room and lock the door before I break down. I can’t see anything au hear anything. I don’t care. The thought of him just makes me feel empty, I've Lost the best part of me and now I'm stupid enough to come here to get him back.
What am I doing? Of course he’s moved on. He doesn’t want me anymore. He probably thinks I'm pathetic. I need to go home.
“Jacob! Jacob I-We-Nee-” I start talking as in walk to the door and stop dead in my tracks. Starring in horror, disbelief and uncertainty then it all went black.
