I sat on the jikoni counter, in the painful silence. I wanted this, why was I so sad? There was a knock on the door, and my moyo skipped a beat. I went and got it, and was surprised to see it was Andrew.

"Hey. I was hoping wewe weren't gone yet," he smiled. I smiled weakly.

"Hey. What's up?" I let him in.

"Just wanted to say goodbye. And see how you're feeling." My hand instinctively went back up to my throat, the gauze still wrapped around the healing stitches.

"I'm doing good. Thanks."

"No problem," he sighed. "So, Belinda's probably going to be in for life; for murder and attempted murder."

"Good," I alisema bitterly.

"I'm sorry 'bout that night," he alisema softly.

"Don't be. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time... I'm sorry about your brother." He smiled sadly.

"It's ok. I guess now I don't feel as bad, thinking that Dalton was so upset with his life that he killed himself... It's still not fair, but... I don't know. I guess it kind of eases the guilt. I hate belinda's guts now, though. I thought she was just a poor little victim like the rest of us were. Guess not, huh?" I shook my head. Andrew looked down at my bags kwa the door. "So. You're going?" I nodded. "Why?" he asked. He chuckled a little. "I mean, I was starting to like you," he smirked. I smiled back, then sighed.

"I... I guess I'm just not fit out for this lifestyle anymore," I said. Andrew nodded understandingly.

"Well, I hope everything works out for you," he said.

"Thanks," I said. He opened his arms, and it took me a couple sekunde to realize he was gesturing for a hug. I walked into his arms, and hugged him back. He squeezed me tight, then let me go. I reacted on an impulse next; I stretched up on my tip toes and kissed him on the cheek. I guess we were both speechless after that.

"Hey," Reed walked in, yawning. I took a giant step back from Andrew, and waved at Reed.

"Good morning." Reed stopped when he saw Andrew. He still didn't like him. He associated him with all the terrible things that were happening in our family.

"Uh, I was just leaving," Andrew said. He hugged me again one zaidi time, then left. I almost wanted to run after him, but my feet were anchored to the floor. Reed sighed.

"When is she getting here?" he asked, annoyed.

"I don't know. She alisema around noon," I answered. Reed sat down on the couch, and put his head in his hands. I walked over slowly and sat down inayofuata to him. "I still upendo you, wewe know." He grunted. I put my hand on his back. "I do!"

"Then why're wewe leaving?" he said. I could hear the suppressed cries in his voice, and I leaned on him.

"I just can't live like this anymore. It's not your guys' fault. And don't wewe dare think for one sekunde that I don't upendo wewe guys." He looked up at me, tears were welled up in his eyes. He wrapped his arms around me, and pulled me into a big hug. Carmine came out from the hallway, his eyes wet and bloodshot as well. "You heard that, didn't you?" I asked. He nodded. "Good. Then I don't have to repeat myself," I said. I opened up an arm for him to jiunge the hug. We sat there, crying. I don't know why I was crying. I had wanted so badly to leave my old life behind, and now I was sad that I was getting it.

There was a knock at the door. That had to be her. I went and answered the door.

"Hello," Gail smiled. She assessed my expression, and pursed her lips. She patted my shoulder. "It's for the best, dear." I nodded.

"I gotta say goodbye first, ok?" She nodded.

"Of course, dear. I'll put your bags in the car. I hugged Carmine and Reed again.

"I upendo wewe both. So much," I alisema through tears. I kissed them both on thier cheeks, and then went to Nikolai's room. I knocked on the door.

"Come in," he grumbled. I opened the door slowly, the doorhenges squeaking.

"I have to go now," I whispered. He was sitting on his bed, staring at his feet that hung off the edge. I sat down inayofuata to him.

"You sure wewe want to do this?" he asked. It pained me to say "yes." He sighed. "Well, I guess it wouldn't be fair of me to not let wewe go." He looked at me.

"I upendo you," I said. I lunged forward, hugging him tight.

"I upendo wewe too," he whispered. I kissed his cheek, and he kissed my forehead.

"Bye," I said, my vision blurred kwa tears. He hugged me again.

"Bye, baby sis," he said. I left, and Gail was already back from putting my stuff in her beatup truck.

"Ready to go?" she asked. I nodded. We got in the truck, and I saw my brothers waving from the apartment window. I waved back, and wiped away my tears.

"Harley!!" Aspen shouted, running from the house. I gasped when her head collided into my stomach, almost knocking the wind out of me.

"Hey," I laughed. Jezebel and Scout came out, Scout holding Bride. Jezebel came and hugged my waist as well.

"Are wewe really truly staying this time?!" Jezebel asked excitedly.

"Yes," I laughed.

"Yay!" they shouted. Sky ran from the house, and jumped up and licked my face, barking and panting.

"Welcome back," Scout smiled.

"Thanks," I smiled back. We all went to the park after that, even seeing Trace there.

"It's good to have ya back, Harley," he said, putting an arm around me. I laughed. Later we went back to Gail's house for dinner. Then, we had our movie night. We watched "Pictures of Hollis Woods."

"That was a nice movie," Jezebel alisema appreciatively.

"Yeah," we all agreed.

"I wonder if we'll ever get adopted too," Jezebel wondered. I frowned nervously. I came here to be with them; not get adopted.

"You already did," Gail said. We all looked to her. I don't know about everyoen else, but I was absolutely terrifired. Gail smiled. "It just got settled today. I adopted all of you." My jaw dropped, as did everyone else's. We all hugged her, giggling and the others crying from happiness. "Harley, that's ok, right?" Gail asked cautiously.

"Yes!" I said. It was a dream come true, actually! Now I knew for sure that my family wouldn't be seperated!

It was perfect.
Max’s p.o.v

We saw James come in. He looked at us and rolled his eyes. “Fighting again” he asked, Billy smiled. I snickered. “Billy has a bit of a temper” I joked. I heard Billy snicker. “Both of wewe need to shut up. We all need to talk” He said, Billy and I looked at one another. “What is it?’ Billy asked. James let out a deep sigh. “Living room, now” he ordered. We both nodded and went downstairs. Once we got there, all the hunters were there, but no slayers. “What’s going on?” Caleb asked. James took a kiti, kiti cha inayofuata to him, we followed. “Billy and Lilly’s family...

"Good morning," I hear the principal say as she does every day. Normally, I would politely respond to that with a "Thank wewe Mrs. Monrale, wewe too," but today I'm just pissed.

How can she say that?! It was awful of her to say such a thing! "It is most definitely not a good morning," I mutter to myself. But she is all the way down the hallway now.

I pace around, taking a long route to my locker where, as always, the two cheerleaders on either side of my locker are cheerfully chatting. Normally I would say "Excuse me," but today I'm not normal. I can't bring myself to say why I'm so abnormal...

The sekunde beast ran past Opal and headed for Alec laying on the ground and Marley bandaging his arm. Marley was too slow to react, Alec jumped up from under the Karkadann, only to have the other one slam into his chest. At least four ribs broke, as he landed onto the ground, moaning in pain, Marley aimed to stab his nail into the beast’s eye, but was knocked back, only to be saved kwa Mia again. Grito watched as the four of them were getting trampled kwa the three Karkadann. Parvulo was leaning forward, with a worried look on his face. “I didn’t think they would meet up with four of them....

Chapter 2 - New Boy

I was hyperventilating as my Angel walked past me on to his first class. He walked into the door of Mr. Emmi’s class, which was also my first class. I learned that my angels name is Stefan. His sisters names were Colleen and Carmen. His brothers, Jacob and Leo.
His voice was heavenly. Sweet and daring. He walked to the last empty desk. It was beside me. I moved my mfuko wa fedha, mfuko from off the desktop and smiled at him politely. His answering smile made me hyperventilate again. I could have sworn I heard him chuckle.

After eating breakfast Jacob and I went up to our room to get dressed. Finding the closet was pretty easy because there are only two doors in our room, the bathroom and the closet. “Oh. My. Gosh. Alice went way over board with this.” Jacob alisema in a normal tone. I walked over and looked in the closet and she did. It was the size of my parents bedroom back at there house. Jacob and I had our own sides. Aunt Alice hadn’t put any of Jake’s au my clothes in the closet she bought all new clothes for us. We walked in to find something simple to wear but that was impossible with Aunt Alice...

I woke up the inayofuata day, and I didn't see Howl on the balcony. I didn't know where he was at. I looked around for him, and then he just popped up behind me just like that! "Howl, wewe gotta stop doing that! wewe scared me!" "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make my Queen unhappy." There he went again. The Queen thing. It's sweet, but....odd. Maybe that's just his way of calling me his girlfriend.

Earlier, I showed Howl where the kuoga was at, and how to use it, since he's never used an actual kuoga before. He calls it a waterfall, since the only thing he's used to clean himself. I left him alone...

In a foggy night ,
On a foggy siku ,
Following the light ,
Running far away .

There was a little car ,
Driven kwa two children ,
Made out of plastic and gum ,
With a fake license number .

And the car was the product
Of one’s imagination,
It was the guide through the forest
Of his life’s interpretation.

And the forest was dark
And hunted kwa Mbwa mwitu loups ,
Full of tears and pain
And of smiles went to vain.

And this kid was an orphan,
Slowly rushing through life ,
Searching for his mother ,
Waiting to be held tight.

He is Lost and scared ,
Yet unstoppable ,
Cause all his life he’s spent
Walking through that forest.

We ain’t all lucky and rich
au have families.
The truth is we only have ourselves,
To make our own journies.

This orphan’s an example
For those who don’t know ,
That that forest is the rode
We all have to go on .

Chapter One

Lily knew that her seventh and final mwaka at Hogwarts was going to be the hardest yet. Not only was she just getting over the death of her parents in early March, but she had the N.E.W.T's coming up – and to add to all the stress of it, she had been chosen as Head Girl. She had tried to decline the position, politely of course, but Professor Dumbledore would hear nothing of it. The phrase he used in his last letter still made her smile when she thought of it: ”There is no other girl in the seventh mwaka that I would entrust this position to, due to certain special circumstances...

Prologue

I have always hated how we never seem to change. Our town has been the same size since, well, since forever. Never changing, just remaining quaint and familiar. Some people don’t like to come here because they say we make our selves sound too innocent. To me, innocence is that last thing that is Sleepy Hollow. If we were innocence, then my story would have no meaning. And without meaning, there would be no story. I will admit that wewe may find it to be sad au empty, so I don’t blame wewe if wewe want to set it down, and never look at it again. Believe me, if only I could set it off...
