Chapter Fifteen
Later that siku and after chajio, chakula cha jioni and playing games with Mama and Sean, Mac knew that after Sean leaves their nyumbani to go back to his own house and once Jamie cleans them up, put them in their pajamas, and read them a story au two, then she can ask her mother about that odd thing she saw that siku between her mom and the man who hangs out with them any chance he got.
It was coming closer and closer. After Sean had left, four of the Thomas family is heading into their ‘getting ready for bed’ routine which means taking a bath, taking sure that the kids had brushed their teeth, used the toilet and kissed their mother on the cheek afterward. The moment she put Jake in his pajamas, put him in his crib, sung him a soft and sweet song, and watched him falling asleep, Jamie smiled at him and headed over to her daughters’ room to see if those girls were in their sleeping clothes and read them a bedtime story before actually letting sleep.
Once she got to their bedroom, Jamie put her hand on the door handle, opened the door, got herself in, and saw Mac and Izzie being all giggly and jumpy. After seeing them acted that day, with a smile on her face, Jamie alisema to the girls, “Come on, girls. Bedtime story!”
“YAY!” yelled out kwa the little girls and ran over to Mac’s kitanda while Jamie went to the bookcase, picked out a few vitabu to read and the girls to pick, and after finding and getting their inayopendelewa ones and a new picture book that Jamie brought from Barnes & Nobles a few days zamani from the shelves, Jamie ran over to the kitanda and once she got on the middle of the full-sized bed, Mac and Izzie cuddled up to their mother and let her read some stories to them.
After twenty dakika of kusoma Mac and Izzie’s inayopendelewa story twice, Izzie Thomas had fallen asleep. Seeing her sleeping, Jamie was about to get out of the kitanda and get Izzie on the kitanda inayofuata to the one she read the story on so she can put the blanket over her small body, kiss her on the forehead and say ‘good – night, Izzie. Sweet dreams.” when Mac asked her a question.
“Mama, I had a swali for you.” With Izzie sleeping inayofuata to her, Jamie turned to her oldest daughter and with a slight smile on her face, Jamie alisema to her, “Yeah, Mac. What’s it?”
“Are wewe in upendo with now, Daddy au Sean?” Quickly, Jamie answered the swali kwa saying, “Your Daddy of course. Are wewe asking me this question, Mac?” In return, Mac just stared at her and answered her mother’s swali kwa saying, “I don’t know, Mama. Maybe that I saw wewe kissing Sean at my soccer game today and it isn’t one of those kisses. It was one of those kisses wewe only gave Daddy and tell me, Mama. Are wewe not in upendo with Daddy anymore and now in upendo with Sean?”
Jamie was very surprised when she heard that from Mac. She doesn’t know how Mac founded out about her relationship with Sean. Beside the people in the relationship, no one else doesn’t knows about it well expect Jake but Jake’s only a baby and had an I.Q. of a konokono for now and at this moment, Jamie had to figure out what to tell her about this. The daughter who asked her their frustrating swali now. Why now?
After seeing the face her oldest child is giving her, Jamie sighed to herself and put her arms around Mac’s small body while saying to her, “I don’t know, Mac. For knowing Sean for a week now, he made me pretty happy just like your father but Sean put zaidi effort into it than your father recently and the zaidi I know him, the zaidi I upendo him but at some moments right now, I did some things to him without any thinking about it that I only gave your father but I am ashamed of them right now. Mac, tell me about it right now. I need your help about it.”
The moment she heard that, Mac Thomas took a dakika au two to think about this and once she got some, Mac looked up to her mother with her brown eyes and alisema to her in a kind and understanding tone in her voice, “Mama, did Sean want to spend any zaidi time with you?”
“Yes, Mac. Sean just asked me if I want to have chajio, chakula cha jioni with him on Tuesday night and I told him yes. Why are wewe asking me this?” Right away, Mac stared straight into her mother’s blue eyes and alisema to her, “I don’t know and plus, I want to know when Daddy is coming from California.”
Forgotten about that, Jamie kissed the forehead of the girl in her arms and alisema to her, “Wednesday night, Mac. Wednesday night is the night when Daddy is coming home. He told me that yesterday afternoon and I might have forgotten about it until now. Sorry about that, Sweetie.”
Telling Jamie that was fine with her, Mac put her loving mother’s arms around her a little tighter and putting her into that position, Mac alisema to her with a sweet voice, “That’s okay, Mama.” but then in a odd tone in her voice at this moment, she alisema to Jamie some more, “But now, wewe got to tell Mr. Sean that wewe can’t have the chajio, chakula cha jioni with him on Tuesday.”
Putting Mac in front of her, Jamie stared at Mac’s eyes and alisema to her, “What? Why?” Without a beat, Mac looked at her mother’s blue eyes again and explained to her kwa saying to her, “Because Daddy’s coming back the siku after wewe will have chajio, chakula cha jioni with Sean and if he found out about it, it will break Daddy’s heart….” And then, there are some tears in Mac’s brown eyes when she alisema to Jamie, “And he might be that person before he is now. The Daddy we didn’t like!”
Suddenly, tears were falling down from Mac’s big brown eyes and wanting to make her feel better, Jamie hold her daughter tightly and while twirling Mac’s wavy hair a little, Jamie calmed her oldest baby down kwa saying to her, “Baby, please don’t cry. I will make sure that Daddy doesn’t become a monster anymore because I will tell Sean that I cannot have the chajio, chakula cha jioni with him on Tuesday and tell him that he had to stay away from me. Is that okay with you, Baby?”
After hearing that, Mac looked up to her mother again and once she wiped down her tears, she alisema to Jamie, “I’m okay with that, Mama but wewe can be Marafiki with Sean as long as wewe like and still upendo Daddy as long as wewe live but I had something to ask you.”
Kissing the juu of Mac’s head, Jamie alisema to her, “Sure, Baby. What’s it?” Joking about it, Mac kissed Jamie’s cheek and asked her, “Mama, since wewe don’t want to kiss Sean no zaidi and still in upendo with Daddy, can I have Sean instead? PLEASE!!” and giving her the puppy eyes that came from Michael.
Seeing those eyes and founding out that her oldest daughter might be having a crush on Sean Connors, Jamie laughed at that, hugged and kissed her daughter again, and after doing that, she let go of Mac a little and alisema to her, “Sure, Mac. I’ll let wewe have him.”
Mac Thomas gave her a big smile on her face when she looked at her mother’s face and alisema to her with happiness, “Yay! Thanks, Mama!” and gave her another hug before lying down on her kitanda and then, fallen asleep a few dakika later.
After seeing her and Izzie being asleep and having some sweet dreams, Jamie Thomas got up from Mac’s bed, walked to the door, opened the door, and staring at her little sweethearts, Jamie smiled at them and wondering why she got one of the sweetest girls she ever had. The girl who Jamie might break her promise of not breaking Michael’s heart.

"Good kwa danny," I alisema kissing him on the cheek one last time."we may not see each other again but I will remember you." for the past week danny and i have been dating on a crusie. (sorry spelling? my mind is not working today.)We both knew the siku would come when we would not be able to see each other. Now it had come. I hugged him and walked down the gang plank.
4 months later
I went to the camp I had worked at for two years now. It was all so familar when I bummed into my best friend Max. He reminded me off Danny. But when ever I saw danny he reminded me of him. Was it max who I really liked and not danny? There's only one way to find out "max?" I alisema to him "What?" he said. "Da ya think we could..... like go to a movie au somthing?" "sure!" he said. And we had a great time.
