“Hey” Ethan greeted me and nodded and smiled as much as I didn’t want to get into the whole boy inayofuata door thing, he had a hot body that wewe could see through his tight shirt, and his brown hair matched his dark brown eyes. “Hey, where’s Thor?” I asked as I walked across the jikoni floor and sat myself down across from him his dark brown eye’s still no me. “Getting ready, we’re going to a club tonight” he said, still eating his banana, ndizi and watching me.”It’s 4 o’clock” I alisema raising my eye brow. We’re going somewhere else first, I would tell wewe but I’m afraid my princess Sadie might tell someone” he said, now smiling. “First of all, I’m not your princess Sadie and I wouldn’t tell anyone, so cut the crap and tell me where wewe are going” I said. “Oh, I like a feisty girl, I only wish wewe would onyesha me that somewhere else, alone” he alisema now walking over to me, he sat inayofuata to me and put his hand on my cheek, I slapped his hand away but he we remained in each other’s gaze at each other. I don’t know how to explain it but there was an attraction between me and Ethan one that I would never test but I acknowledge that it’s there.
Just then we heard a thump it startled us both and we looked up Thor was coming down the stairs he looked at us and smiled, he looked smug, I stood up and walked up the stairs just brushing Thor on the left side of his body.
That night I was just sitting on my bed, playing with the man’s pendant in my hand I’m circling the black stone with my hand. And I close my eyes and imagine the man again he is sitting on the kitanda and his arms are around the same girl, and then it stops again. I open my eyes and get up and go down stairs everyone exempt Thor is there. My family are all gathered in the room; my mother is washing up, my father is watching the game and my sister is kusoma some trashy magazine. I go and sit inayofuata to her I smile as she looks up and gives me that “what is it?’ look. “What?” she asks. “Nothing I was just thinking” I alisema still smiling. “About?” she alisema flipping through the magazine. “Oh wewe know, school, homework oh and love” I alisema as I signed. “Love?” she said, and put the magazine on her lap. “Who’s yours au somebody else’s?” she alisema smiling. “Both” I alisema returning a smile. “So wewe upendo somebody and you’re finally helping somebody?” she said. “Not exactly” I said, now my smile looking somewhat apologetic. “Then what?” she said, picking up the magazine and throwing it on the table. “Me thinking if I should fall in upendo to help someone” I said. “Listen, Sade, Don’t fall in upendo with any old guy just so wewe can help other people, upendo has survived millions of years without you” she said, putting her hand on my cheek just like Ethan did. “I guess so” I said, putting my hand on her cheek.
That night I couldn’t sleep I kept tossing and turning and then I heard a thump sound coming from my window. I walked over and opened it; it was Thor he looked terrible his eyes all red and skin pale. He came in and sat on my bed. “What happened?” I alisema my voice was hoarse. “At the club we did some coke” he said, as soon as the words were out of his mouth I was on my feet. “What!” I yelled, my voice was no longer hoarse there was nothing but fury. “Shh, you’ll wake mom and dad up” he alisema putting his finger to his lips. “You know that stuff messes with our powers, wewe idiot” I alisema now sitting down inayofuata to him. “I know, at first I alisema no but then there was this guy and he was a jerk and yeah” he said, his eyes were twitching. “Oh my god, I am so telling mum and dad” I said, he gave me a mean glare. “Why?” he said. “Umm let me see” I alisema in a sarcastic tone. “Come on, wewe can’t, plus it’s not just me it’s Ethan” he said, the name made me jump. “Why would that make a difference?” I said, in a sharp ton. “Oh come on, today when I interrupted your little thing today, looks like wewe are the goddess of love” he alisema with a smug smile, I punched him in the arm. “Ew, that’s just gross” I said. “Alright I’m just saying, he likes wewe and I can tell wewe like him” he alisema making his smug smile wider. “Go, leave, now” I alisema pushing him up. “Okay, okay, so are wewe going to tell?” he said. “No, I’m not, now get out” I alisema still pushing him until I got him out the door.
I heard my alarm clock go off. I pressed the snooze button and got up. My window was still open from last night’s fun; I went over and closed it shut, the last thing I needed was flu.
After I got dressed and walked down stairs I sat inayofuata to my mother who was kusoma something in the paper she looked as if she was about to cry. “Mom, what’s wrong?” I alisema pulling the paper away from her; she looked at me with a tear going down her eye, I picked up the paper and looked at the giant photo. Thor.

Just a poem. I hope it isn't much of a bother to rate.
I dream of all things
Uncertain of dark deeds and pasts
Within these thoughts as dark as sea
When once those wings of black
Hung over all
Shadowing but of the wretched white
That blinds me of all beauty.
I dream of all things
From happiness to highs
Let down these pills
au I’m gone, retreat inside my mind
Where none but the darkest thoughts
Swallowing twilight
I dream of all things
From the stories told kwa hidden scars
Unable to onyesha themselves
Under this intense scrutiny
That makes up this world’s attire
To the times that I could be happy
Without a drug to create
The much-needed illusion...
I dream of all things
No matter of their contents
Because, well,
Nightmares are still dreams.
I dream of all things
Uncertain of dark deeds and pasts
Within these thoughts as dark as sea
When once those wings of black
Hung over all
Shadowing but of the wretched white
That blinds me of all beauty.
I dream of all things
From happiness to highs
Let down these pills

This is written about the perfect silence only found in the dead of night, and the feelings it inspires.
The title comes from the description a friend of mine gave when we were stuck in the middle of nowhere at midnight and I found it sort of beautiful.
Enjoy (I hope) :)
Weighted air and winking stars,
darkness draped, tension wrought.
This night, this hour, is ours.
Silence chimes unspoken thoughts
that choke my mouth.
Silver moonbeams in glittering outline
surround you, and in our youth
this night, this hour, we intertwine.
I'd upendo to hear what wewe like au hate.
Thanks for reading.

I chanced a glance at you
from across the crowded room
and that was when I noticed
wewe were looking at me too
we both know this shouldn't happen
its a road we've been down before
and the only way it ever ends
is with wewe walking out the door
so I wish someone would explain to me
why I'm still rooted in place
staring in the direction
of just another lonely face
my mind is screaming at me to run
while my moyo asks me to stay
for a moment I dont know what to do
and if its a price I'm willing to pay
we both know this is wrong
the upendo that we share
but we also know that wont stop us
because to find this kind of upendo is rare
from across the crowded room
and that was when I noticed
