After Melinoe poofed away in a poofy wingu of poof, I turned around to leave, only to find the team still there. If I had a penny for each time I cursed in my mind in Greek right then, I’d be rich.
“Sarah, would wewe like to explain what just happened and why wewe used mind control on Wally?” Kalder asked
“No. Anyways, it wasn’t mind control, it was a truth spell!” I said, then poofed away in a wingu of water vapor hinting where I was going. I appeared out on the water, fifty meters away from shore. I made a water dome then hardened it. I then reinforced it with a black ukuta and white magic. I sat on top, thinking about how I was going to execute my plan. Sadly, time was rushing towards me. I only had a week left until my birthday. I pulled a cot from my shadow realm, along with a blanket and a mto and set myself up for the night. Just to be on the salama side, I made a flat rock of pure black obsidian appear under the cot, and then made wheat bloom from it so it was soft in case I fell off the cot. I shot a ball of moon light high into the dome for some light. I pulled out a flute from my shadow mfuko wa fedha, mfuko and started to play it. For some reason, I found myself playing an eerie melody. A sea kobe, kasa swam up, so I softened the water so it could climb out for some breath. The kobe, kasa climbed onto my mini island. I put my flute down and reached to pet it when I heard something. I could tell it wasn’t my imagination because the sea kobe, kasa looked around to. I changed the ball of moon light to a ball of sun light, and suddenly, the whole dome was light up. I looked around and realized the noise was coming from under me. I stuck my head under the water and something grabbed me and pulled me the rest of the way in. Luckily, I had time to think dry before I was pulled under. If I had gotten wet, I would’ve killed what ever pulled me under. I managed to wriggle around and got a look at who attacked me. It was someone I had been trying to avoid; someone who I was scared would find me. That same someone was the same person who pulled me up from the bottom when I had been swimming with Amphirite. It was Kalder, and I don’t think he wanted me to get away. But I had a plan. I always have a plan. I puffed out my cheeks, like I needed air. He swam us up. I grasped my little island, taking huge gasps of air.
“I thought wewe could breathe under water?” he asked
“I can” I smirked. I jumped out of his grip.
” Metamorfó̱ste to fídi” I said. I changed into a snake and slithered into the wheat. When I saw Kalder climb out of the water, I opened a shadow tunnel under his feet. He fell in and came out on the beach. I flicked my tail and became myself again. I sighed and lay down on my bed. I magically changed it to my pajamas and took down the black ukuta so it would be lighter. Then, I fell asleep.

Somewhere in the Arctic, 4:49 a.m.
Nathan curled up on the rocky floor of the dark cave, protected from the snow for now. He'd found a piece of rock chipped off from the edges of the cavern and had somehow created a spark that had ignited into a flame. How it was sustaining, well, he didn't know. But it was keeping him warm, and for that he was grateful.
It suddenly dawned on him that he felt immensely drained, nearly useless. His moyo wasn't beating as fast as usuall. Pushing himself up, he went to find a pool of ice, to see what was wrong. What he saw shocked him: his hair had turned to it's orginal mocha hue, a sign of no powers.
He sighed, and realized with a jolt he was in a cave. A cave... and the last person he'd seen was the Batman's daughter. This small fact slightly amused him, but amusement turned to worry. "Fin..." he murmured. "Why can't wewe see past what I've done? Why can't wewe see that I upendo you?"
