Jade cut the communication short and stared at her friend.
“Are wewe really going tomorrow?” she asked.
“Have to. No choice. wewe heard everything.”
“I know Becca. But what are wewe going to tell them?”
“Nothing. I'll sneak out and besides, I meet X at midnight. No need to fear Jade. I've got this. No one will ever know.”
“That's what I'm afraid of Becca. Don't we want people to know?”
“Not yet. Besides, it's loads of fun this way.”
“Secrecy hurts me.”
“Jade. wewe aren't the one doing this. I am. How do wewe think this makes me feel?”
“I know. But wewe seem so excited. You've done this too long. What if wewe get caught?”
“Never fear. X has everything planned. I trust that. And wewe can trust me.”
“...Alright. But if they get hurt...”
“They won't. We just take them down and have X deal with them.”
“But-”
“Don't worry your pretty head about this. Just get me those files.”
“Glad wewe could make it Becca.”
The alisema warrior turned. She looked at the person she was to meet. Dressed in black, X was wearing a Robin-based outfit. But it was all black, with blood red accents. Silver gauntlets protected the wrists and joined the long sleeved uniform with the gloves. A red ukanda sat on his hips and a kofia, chapeo covered his head. The kofia, chapeo molded to his head, giving details beneath the metal. It was black but there was a white, creepy face on it. On the forehead and wrist gauntlets, a red X left it's mark. And where the “R” was on Robin's uniform, marked another X. Becca glared at her contact.
“You finally showed up,” she said.
“Tch. Worried about me, honey?”
“Never. Here are the files wewe wanted.”
“X-cellent. Now then, let's get down to buisness.”
Becca crossed her arms. X shook his head, pulling a wad of cash out of his pocket.
“Your pay, as promised.”
Becca took the money, counting it carefully.
“Continue.”
“As I was saying, we need them taken out. Quickly. How fast can wewe get the job done?”
“Week. If I get coordinates. Three weeks if I don't.”
“Jade has the coordinates. How are things? She fitting in?”
“Yes. She even managed to...capture someone's attention.”
“Oh?”
“Yep. And it seems he has hers.”
“That is not good. It conflicts with our mission.”
“Duh!”
“Hmmm...I'll have to figure this into our plan. Who is he?”
“His name is Kaldur'ahm. He goes kwa Aqualad.”
“Thank you.”
“Whatever.”
“Alright. I expect a full ripoti within the week, love.”
“You just keep out of my way X. I'll onyesha wewe how things are done.”
“So bossy. Of course that only adds to how cute wewe are.”
Before Becca could react, X flipped up a building, waving at her.
“Tomorrow okay? I have some plans for us Becca. And I want them taken down ASAP.”
